    Hi,

All the products on my site are variable and even where I have the sizing guide enabled and the image for it uploaded, none shows up.

I had a read of the support threads on this where the recommendation is to add in ‘additional product options’ under edit product but there is no such option there.

I’ve checked all variable and editable fields and none has a place to add any sizing image other than above which didn’t work.

Does the sizing guide not work with variable products?

    Hi Eva,

I was hoping that this was a straight forward one where you could just let me know if this was a bug in the theme and if there was a quick workaround available.

WP panel password is in PC.

    Many thanks!

    Hello,

As I see there is no image for Size Guide in theme options. You need to upload it in Blanco > “Size Guide img” section (screenshot http://prntscr.com/928931 ) and tick option “Enable Size Guide on this product” for each product ( http://prntscr.com/9289cd ).

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hi Jack,

Many thanks. I had to restore the site to an earlier version today due to a conflict & some errors in a plugin so I suspect this is what was causing the issue.

    All fixed now.

On a separate note, I just read the thread regarding the issues caused by upgrading the layer slider plugin.

I was just about to upgrade the slider myself along with Woocommerce (I have version 2.4.7 now). I have Blanco version 3.3 at the moment.

I also have some custom code in the header php file which I am worried about losing in an upgrade of the theme.

How should I upgrade all of these without causing any issues.

    Hello,

We strongly recommend to make full site and database backup before any updates.
As for the customizations in theme files you need to create a child theme and make necessary changes there. In that way you won’t lose your customizations after theme update.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for your reply, apologies for my late reply.

I will ask my developer to create a child theme. The backups are taken daily so no issue there but beyond that how should I do the upgrade. Should I just update to the latest Blanco release – will that have all of the plugin & woocommerce upgrades in it?

If that is the answer, could you please send me the link to where the latest update for the theme can be downloaded from?

And just finally, in theory, if nothing is ‘broken’ now and all is working ok, I could also just leave it on the current versions, at least until there is an issue, in which case it could be upgraded at that time right?

I ask because the site is finally live and working as it should so the last thing I want to be doing now is downloading an update and then having to deal with potential layer slider or other bugs or issues.

Thanks again in advance for your reply.

    Hello,

As I see you are using the latest theme version.

Should I just update to the latest Blanco release – will that have all of the plugin & woocommerce upgrades in it?

Unfortunately theme package may contain old plugins versions so you can download the newest ones from our forum https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

Although the latest theme package can be downloaded here http://themeforest.net/item/blanco-responsive-wordpress-wooecommerce-theme/2755246 (use your envato account to log in).

And just finally, in theory, if nothing is ‘broken’ now and all is working ok, I could also just leave it on the current versions, at least until there is an issue, in which case it could be upgraded at that time right?

Actually you can leave the current versions if everything works fine but it’s a good practice to have updated plugins as the newest versions may contain critical issues fixes.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Many thanks for that Jack. I think I will leave the plugins for now and will update all of it with the next update release of the theme.
