We’ve been at this for over a week and 8themes is simply not providing any assistance or even acknowledging the issue. There response being to let them know of any way their theme can be optimized. Isn’t that what I’m paying 8Themes to do??
Our tickets are being ignored even though it’s clear from the forums and the comments that there is serious speed issues on store pages, or any page with products inserted into them. After hours of time with optimization experts, our host wpengine, woocommerce, and other developers we know it’s due to query errors this theme is generating.
We even contacted other users of this theme and they all had this issue.
8themes! Where are you???
here’s an example of an error:
LONG QUERY (4419 characters long generated in …/wp-content/themes/legenda/attachment.php:44): SELECT post_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id IN (190,…
ORDER BY meta_id ASC
and another:
[error] [client 66.249.91.159] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function is_visible() on a non-object in …v/wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce/content-product.php on line 27
Step up 8themes.
Hello,
We understand your dissatisfaction and are very sorry for the inconveniences you have to experience.
We’ve improved our theme as much as we could. And we have already emphasized if someone of our customers has experience in development and has proposals concerning changes in the theme (we mean only specific changes in the code in particular files, rather than general phrases like “Reduce CSS File” etc), we are asking to declare them here or contact us via the contact form https://www.8theme.com/contact-us/
If the recommended changes are effective and reduce time load of the theme, you will receive financial compensation.
Thank you for understanding.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Hello Eva,
I showed you 2, a long query and an error, and they indicate the lines of the php code that is generating these issues. I’m not a php developer so I can’t rewrite that code, that’s what you guys are for, no? Are you asking me to hire someone to rewrite this code then provide it to you? I think I’m just missing something here.
Hello,
As we can see from you previous answers in the ticket you had a problem with database, not with our theme, didn’t you?
Please clarify.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
