Hi
I have build a woocommerce site with legenda. but the site is superslow.
i try CDN via amazon and it helped a little. the server should be fast enough.
can any one tell my why?
Hello,
As I see some images on the site are loading from http://d1wmsaukb5fadc.cloudfront.net. That may be the reason for slow load.
Also you may consult with your hosting company.
Other clients’ sites, that have Legenda theme installed, don’t have such problems with loading.

Hello,
What WP and theme versions do you use?
Please provide us with the WP admin panel and FTP credentials.
Thank you.

Hello,
We recommend you to update the theme to the latest version.
If the problem will persist, please let us know.

Hi there;
I have the same issue, I run your theme on the latest version of WP, and latest version of your theme, 4 load-balanced file servers with 2 separate DB servers all SSD’s and interconnected, the reason I say this is so that you are aware it’s definitely not resource based.
I’ve been running your theme for the last 2 months, (so lots of different versions), and always noticed the site was slow, but thought it was something else until I did some querylogging today.
Now all the other sites that are run have no issues, and benchmarking your theme against 12 others we had available for the very same site, I have found our page load DB queries go from an average of 120ms to a whopping 8600ms (also noticed your own hosted version is very slow).
Is there any way you could do a bit of debugging, as I love the theme, we bought it for our main site and I don’t really want to have to move to something else because it’s too slow.
many thanks
Oh sorry, forgot to mention, it’s definitely not plugin related, just spent the last 4 hours disabling and messing around with those trying to find the source.
Ok, found one issue.
Line 4055 of theme-functions.php tries to filter “et_the_content” (not “get_the_content”).
I’ll keep going through until i find the rest of the bits, I know twitter is eating a lot through CURL and could just be done in a cron, but I’ll let you guys come onto that later…
sorry, scrap that, they where just very slow queries, thought it was a miss-spelling.
I’ve just commented the filters for now which has resulted in 25% of previous load time (so a good difference)
See below
I have been trying to get this resolved since Monday it does seem like anyone is trying to help me. just telling to me to update to the latest version!!!
Hi again, back with a bit more info.
The site speed primary bottleneck is the 8theme static block system I used for 2 footer rows. So I would suggest not using the system until they have this fixed, also the Twitter uses Curl each time, which adds to the overall wit time (the response should be stored with a cron really).
My page load has just reduced from 8.5 seconds, to 0.56s, by just removing these static blocks.
It is a little weird that this system eats so much resources and triplicates calls when all I had in there where menu’s and latest product blocks.
My personal advice nicholesarray, is don’t use these theme systems and instead hard-code for the results you need until they are fixed.
We’re having extremely slow load times with this theme, too, and we have a great web host with no problems on our other websites using different themes.
Can you please clarify your temporary workaround? Do you have actual code you can share?
Admins, Developers: Do you have a fix for this static block/footer problem to ensure it doesn’t weigh things down?
Hello @nicholesarray,
Sorry for a long delay.
Could you please create a ticket via support.8theme.com?
Our specialists will investigate this issue and reply you there.

Hello @needhamgroup,
Please provide us with the FTP and admin panel details to check the problem with static blocks.

Eva Kemp.
Hello, I am interested in knowing how this issue is resolved. We have an ecommerce website and also expect optimal performance.

Hi Eva;
Unfortunately I cannot provide FTP due to the way the site is setup (SFTP would be useless anyway due to the server security setup).
I can however give you a temporary admin login, which I can put in the private content upon request, however this is live website, and not a localised issue, so checking my version will yield the same results as a development version, if you check the action/filter script execution time you will see the issues.
Hi there;
Just wondering if there was a progress update as yet on this issue?
Also,
I know there is a 404 on the file legenda/library/css/theme.css, but I cannot see to find where it’s called (haven’t done a full grep yet, but it’s certainly getting to that point).
Hello @needhamgroup,
Sorry, but it would be more convenient for us if you provide your site and files to make correct improvements.
It’ll be hard to help you without FTP access. Please provide us with the credentials for FTP and wp-admin panel.
Also could you please describe in details your actions after which the load time has reduced to 0.56s?
You should send all this info in a ticket which you can create on support.8theme.com.
Thank you for understanding.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Hi again;
As stated previously, there is no FTP, and only read SFTP access on this server block (we cannot run these types of services due to the strict security required).
I have however added a user & pass for you to test with in the private content.
Hi there;
Just wondering if there is any update on this as yet?
Cheers
How do I download the latest version.
The previous version was downloaded by my developer. Where do i download the files from???
Hello @nicholesarray,
You can download the latest version of the theme at themeforest.net in Downloads area, just log in to your account.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
I created an account I do not see anywhere that let’s you redownload only purchase. My developer downloaded the first version but I do have the purchase code.
How do I redownload it with my new account?
Hello, @nicholesarray,
In this case you need to contact with Envato support and explain your situation. Because the only one place where you can upload theme update is themeforest account if you bought it.

Olga Barlow
Hello, @needhamgroup,
We have deleted all content from footer widget areas, but they still display in your footer. Do you use any cache plugins?
Please, contact us on support.8theme.com, it will be more suitable.

Admins: Can you please respond to the original post here: Sites built with Legenda seem to be very slow (even on very fast web hosts). Some people have targeted this to static blocks in the footer and perhaps to many inquiries/call-outs. I am one of those who has a very good and fast web host, and use cdn for images, but having lag-time with our website using Legenda.
What is your fix here to make sure the static blocks in the footer (or anywhere else used in the site) are not dragging things down?
