    Hi there,

Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out. We are running a Dutch website on avstyle.nl and are translating it with WPML to English on avstyle.com. About 99% of the website is translated and it works like a charm. However, there are a few links and buttons not showing up for translation or, more likely, I can’t find them.. can you please take a look and point me in the right direction?

For example on this English page: https://avstyle.com/svs/ in the section “Prime Series” on the right is a tooltip image. When you hover on the tooltip (+) the text and button are in English as expected, but the button “Select options” links to the Dutch product page: https://avstyle.nl/producten/svs-prime-tower/. This should be https://avstyle.com/products/svs-prime-tower/.

Another example is on the English homepage https://avstyle.com, first section. There is a “Order now” button for the VanityPro. The text on the button is translated correctly, but the link redirects to the Dutch product page (https://avstyle.nl/producten/audiopraise-vanity-pro/). This should be https://avstyle.com/products/audiopraise-vanitypro/.

There are a few more different examples of strings that I can’t figure out to translate, but most likely they all work the same. If you can point me in the right direction I can probably figure out the rest.

Thanks a lot and kind regards,
    Mark

    Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me. Attached, in the private area, is the requested FTP information. A full backup has been made, so feel free to move about. Please keep in mind it is a “live” website.

I’ve been in contact with WPML support as well. They suggested running a feature to detect strings while browsing the website. I’ve tried this, but it results in hundreds of additional strings that don’t need translation and it’s hard to find the correct ones. So I was hoping you know where I can find these specific strings so I can translate them and point the URL to the correct page.

    Kind regards,
    Mark

    Hi Rose,

Thank you! It seems to be working fine:-) May I ask, what was the issue? And what can I do myself to fix this in the future?

    Thanks again and kind regards,
    Mark
