Space between content and the header/menu bar

Hi, I am trying to add some space between the header/menu bar and the main content. One of the ways i can do that is to add this css:
.content-page { margin-top: 20px; }

This looks fine on most pages, but the issue is on the home page, there will be a space between the slider and the menu/header bar. How can I do this for all pages except for specific pages e.g. the home page? Thanks.

You can add code in Custom CSS for page area, then your code will affect a particular page only http://prntscr.com/rc3lej
