    Hi there,

I have seen scraps of PHP on various Google searches, but I was wondering if there is a proper theme compatible/sustainable way of either specifying the parent categories that are included in the sidebar widget (to also include their children)?

Or alternatively to exclude parents with children?

    Many thanks,

    R.

    Hello,

We don’t have additional options for the Categories widget. If you don’t want to show all the categories you may check “Only show children of the current category” in categories widget settings http://prntscr.com/cz20e9

    Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. The screenshot was for product categories, which is good to know too (it was the blog categories I was wondering about).

I shall mess around and see what I can hack.

and I did some simply matching of the category id in CSS with display:none

with that other plugin, you can get some nice results 🙂
