This appears to be a very on-going issue of poor website speed, regardless of VPS servers and CDN etc
Recently run a speed check (i private area) and there seems to be very high reports of the font loading, is this an error or something that can be fixed
I know but every time we get the same answer “It isn’t the theme at fault” but clearly is 🙁
My score on GTMetrix dropped to E since the latest update.
Something in the theme is causing the theme to be slow!
Hello, @finleydesign
Take our apologies for the delay in answering. Try to download Roboto font from https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto
After that upload it using XStore > Custom Fonts. Then go to Theme Options > Typography > choose the uploaded font. Check the font loading speed after that.
Regards
I read your comment and went to GTMetrix to check my site. I dropped from B to F in recent days!
Hello, @Namaste
GTMetrix changed its testing system during the last few days. And all the sites that had A, B, C scores get E or F. If we check your site using Pingdom we get much better results http://prntscr.com/vv4hfu https://tools.pingdom.com/#5d8a463d20c00000

I’m not sure if this is true.
Can you link us to GTMetrix changing their scoring system?
I see no evidence of this. You can still get A, B and C scores.
Definitely the theme at fault for slow loading. Please admit it so the developers can fix this problem once and for all.
So a couple of things
1. Have amended the font as you suggested, and the client reported an immediate speed improvement, the speed test don’t really show much different, but a noticeable difference when using the site, whats odd, is why would you supply a theme where as default the fonts cause a slow down
2. The only issue we now have is that the Roboto font for example is blurred, it doesn’t appear sharp at all.
Hello, @finleydesign
Don’t use Roboto-regular with font-weight:700 http://prntscr.com/vwc01s Upload Roboto-bold if you need font-weight 700.

Hello, @MichaelB
Thank you for your request. We are constantly working on the speed of the theme. We also ask you to create a request on the board https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/ and vote for it. We are working now on the speed of the frontend. When we finish the work we will start the admin part (customizer). Many things need to be considered, such as tests and the inheritability of updates. We can promise you one thing :)- the most customizable theme with superb performance very soon. All should be step by step to avoid problems and make all gentle.
Regards
Thanks Olga.
Done.
Thanks for understanding. Have a nice day!

Ok I can try some things, other issue keep coming to light regarding the theme itself, for example the server engineers have said this error has come up
PHP Warning: array_push() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/virtual/vps-1b8991/9/9c143bc971/public_html/wp-content/themes/xstore/framework/woo.php on
We also have error messages coming from this
public_html/wp-content/fonts/roboto/KFOlCnqEu92Fr1MmWUlfBBc-AMP6lQ.woff
Are these theme generated?
Hello,
Provide us with Wp Dashboard and FTP access to the site where you get the PHP Warning. Tell me what actions do you do when it appears?
Regards
See in private
Also in response to your post saying don’t use regular with font-weight:700 I don’t see where are using this
However the reference you show comes form a file inside xstore call kirki-style which is adding the font-weight 700 to the h1, h2 etc
In addition to the kirki-style css for what ever these are, within this file it makes references to .woff fonts that don’t exist
In fact I have now deleted those references and it’s cleared all these reported faults and files it was looking for
Hello,
WP Dashboard http://prntscr.com/w3d08y and FTP access do not work http://prntscr.com/w3d1sy
Please, check it and provide the correct one.
Regards
They are going to reset after 24 hours
Other FTP host option
Hello,
It works, thank you.
Could you, please, tell me on what page do you get those notices? I enabled the WP debug and checked the site and don’t see the mentioned notices.
Regards
