I created a custom footer within the Static Block plugin (using Visual Composer). I successfully added the Static Block to my footer widget and it appears correctly on our site. However, I am unable to edit the Static Block using Visual Composer. When I attempt to edit the Static Block using VC, I get a 404 error msg. I am able to edit the Static Block using the back-end editor, just not the front-end editor.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

You had Storefront theme activated. I set our Classico theme and checked frontend editor of VC for Static Blocks. It’s working:

Clear browser cache and check again.

    Hi Eva,

The Storefront theme was active because I was troubleshooting a separate issue we are having with our payment gateway.

Not sure what fixed the Static Block 404 error, but it looks like we are all set. Thanks for troubleshooting the issue. One last question. Our Static Block footer is appearing on every page except for our homepage. How can I set the footer to appear on our homepage?

    Thanks again,
    Shelley

    Hello,

Some of your plugins are causing the issue. When I disabled all 3rd-party plugins 8theme layout options appeared on a page editor http://storage4.static.itmages.com/i/16/0913/h_1473795073_6839288_79613f188d.png and I set custom footer there.
    Check home page now.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
