Stock error at checkout on XStore theme.

    Hi,

    We run XStore on a few of our sites.

    On our latest one we noticed that at checkout it gives an error on products being out of stock, only after checkout has been completed.

    The error comes up, and prompts the user to change the stock quantity on the product “”Pukka – Blackberry Lime” is out of stock and cannot be purchased.”.
    HOWEVER, the order does not seem to go through for the user on the front end, BUT, it in fact does go through in the back end. There is thus no front end confirmation of the order being processed.

    I disabled all non required plugins, tested and the behaviour continued.
    I then changed to a default theme (Storefront), which allowed the order to go through without a hitch – I did three orders without a problem. I re-enabled Xstore child, and the order went through without a problem. I then did a second order straight after, and the error showed up again.

    I made a video of the whole process to show you what I mean, and to assist you. This site is live, and thousands of pounds go through this site. We cannot afford this type of downtime.

    We have put the site into maintenance mode because we cannot allow orders to go through like this.

    I am restoring a backup that I made just before testing right now, so all is in place for testing. Please do not delete the backup of the site.

    If you do make changes, please let me know so that I know what to backup and what not to.

    How long will this take? I need to give feedback to our directors, and saying “the developers are looking into it” is not going to cut it much longer.

    Hello,

    We are trying to make the order but always face out of stock error for a lot of products https://recordit.co/I73jyIGlOq . And that’s happens not just with our theme but also with the Storefront theme, we checked. Could you, please, solve the issue with the stock and then reply back. Also, I see that you have custom code in the XStore child theme. Remove that code and try to proceed to checkout. Do you still have the issue with the checkout without that code?

    Nope, it doesn’t happen with storefront. We’ve check 72 times. We have decided to switch to a different theme, and will switch our other sites then too in December. The stock issue is unique to Xstore.

    Ok. Take our apologies. Probably theme is just not compatible with that plugin.
