We run XStore on a few of our sites.
On our latest one we noticed that at checkout it gives an error on products being out of stock, only after checkout has been completed.
The error comes up, and prompts the user to change the stock quantity on the product “”Pukka – Blackberry Lime” is out of stock and cannot be purchased.”.
HOWEVER, the order does not seem to go through for the user on the front end, BUT, it in fact does go through in the back end. There is thus no front end confirmation of the order being processed.
I disabled all non required plugins, tested and the behaviour continued.
I then changed to a default theme (Storefront), which allowed the order to go through without a hitch – I did three orders without a problem. I re-enabled Xstore child, and the order went through without a problem. I then did a second order straight after, and the error showed up again.
I made a video of the whole process to show you what I mean, and to assist you. This site is live, and thousands of pounds go through this site. We cannot afford this type of downtime.
We have put the site into maintenance mode because we cannot allow orders to go through like this.
