    Hello

On my website the subcategories are showing up in the product section with the following URL https://jarahi.pk/categories/audio-electronics/.

But when I select the filter on the shop page then the sub-categories won’t show up https://jarahi.pk/products/?filter_cat=audio-electronics

How can I solve this Issue? I want the sub-categories, to show up in the products section too.

Further, in the left categories filters, I want to only show the first-level categories, here, I don’t want to show sub-categories, how can I achieve that?

    Best Regards
    Awais

    Hi @Awais Bhatti,

The categories filters will filter all the products related to that category and showing only the products NOT sub-categories item. This is how the categories filter work for now.

If you would like to request that this feature be added, you can post your request on our Taskboard at https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/. If it receives enough votes from other customers, our development team will consider adding it to one of our upcoming updates.

Further, in the left categories filters, I want to only show the first-level categories, here, I don’t want to show sub-categories, how can I achieve that?

Please take a look at this solution: https://www.8theme.com/topic/any-way-to-show-parent-categories-only-in-filter-products-by-categories-section-on-shop-sidebar/#post-405532.

    Hi

I have created the task, it would definitely be a great feature to add.

And I saw the solution, just to confirm one thing, when I update the theme, the changes will be lost, right?

    Best Regards

    Dear Awais Bhatti,

We would like to confirm that any modifications made directly to the core of the plugin/theme will indeed be overwritten when a new update releases.

    Hi

Thanks for confirming it, is it planned to add this as an option in the future?

Further, how can I remove the subcategories from the home page carousel?

    Best Regards
