The reason was you selected template “One column, no sidebar” for your Home page in admin panel > Pages > Home, under Page Attributes box on the right side. I’ve changed the template to “Frontpage” and all widgets you added to Homepage Sidebar are being showed now.
Please check the site and clear browser cache before.

Ok — thank you.
And how do I get the text bigger and formatting differently? Do I need to create a graphic? Or is it part of the slider graphic? On the blanco theme, the text is interesting and not super tiny and unformatted like mine currently is.
Hello,
Could you please clarify with more details and show us link to the page where you want to get the text bigger?
Thank you.

Robert Hall.

Thank you so much for all your help. I really appreciate it. I have one more question and I think I’ll be finished. 🙂
When I formatted the text widget, somehow I ended up with an extra double line above that line of text and I would like to remove it. How do I do that?

Here’s how I want it to look, thin line above and below like the theme.

Hello,
Please add the following code into the custom.css:
.widget-container h3 {
background: none;
}
Here is a video tutorial how to create custom.css: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qok2zRedRMY&feature=youtu.be.

Thank you.
I did just as the video showed and added the code to my custom.css file.
The video also shows that I have to “enable the custom css” file somewhere. I cannot find this…
Hello,
You need enable Custom CSS in Blanco – Theme Settings > General > tick “Enable Custom CSS file” and save changes.
