    Hi,

There are 2 types of Search result page experiences:

    “Type1 Search result page” experience:
Whenever I search for a product by typing in the “search-bar” present in the website’s top-menu-bar (right next to the logo) few results load and when I click on “view all results”, the search result page is working perfectly as I wanted. (Also the customization available through theme options is working great in this case).

“Type2 Search result page” experience: Whenever visitors end up on any 404 page… there is another kind of search bar, where the search result page is very bad. I guess this is taking the default WordPress search result page instead of the theme’s search result page.

    Question #1:
How to make sure that in both places, the “search result page” is the same as the “Type1 Search result page” experience?

    Question #2:
I could not find any documentation on how to edit the default 404 page and remove/customize the search option available there. So:
#2a) Show where to edit/change the theme’s default 404 page or else,
#2b) Help me completely remove the “search functionality” that appears on the 404 page as a temporary fix. (this can be considered as a last resort if no other way to resolve it).

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

There is no such option, and it is not a bug. Mentioned searches are different and there is no quick way to change it without additional customization in files which is out of our basic support scope, unfortunately.

Theme Options > 404 page > enter own content https://prnt.sc/xig0dg0MTvVP

We hope this information is helpful.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our support team is always available to assist you.

    Kind Regards,

This is not a bug. I need a simple guide on how to remove or add something. Sorry, I may not have been clear. Let me explain once again:

The main point is very simple: Please guide me how to “remove the search-bar that appears in the current default 404 page” of xStore theme.

Reason: The Search-result-page that appears through the 404-page’s search bar is very bad & different from the regular search result page.

    –(Optional)–
Alternatively, you can guide me to do the below if the above is not possible.
if you can’t help me remove the search bar from the 404-page, then guide me on how to make the “search-result-page” that comes after searching using the search bar present in 404-page to be same as the search-result page everywhere else. Please refer to the private message video screenshot for reference.

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello, N Nandan,

    Thank you for your response.

1/ To remove the search bar from the 404 page, please go to Theme Options > 404 page > enter your own content.
Please test how it works before your next response here.

2/ “then guide me on how to make the “search-result-page” that comes after searching using the search bar present in 404-page to be same as the search-result page everywhere else” – there is no such option, because mentioned searches are different and there is no quick way to change it without additional customization in files which is out of our basic support scope, unfortunately.

    Kind Regards,
