Hi,
There are 2 types of Search result page experiences:
“Type1 Search result page” experience:
Whenever I search for a product by typing in the “search-bar” present in the website’s top-menu-bar (right next to the logo) few results load and when I click on “view all results”, the search result page is working perfectly as I wanted. (Also the customization available through theme options is working great in this case).
“Type2 Search result page” experience: Whenever visitors end up on any 404 page… there is another kind of search bar, where the search result page is very bad. I guess this is taking the default WordPress search result page instead of the theme’s search result page.
Question #1:
How to make sure that in both places, the “search result page” is the same as the “Type1 Search result page” experience?
Question #2:
I could not find any documentation on how to edit the default 404 page and remove/customize the search option available there. So:
#2a) Show where to edit/change the theme’s default 404 page or else,
#2b) Help me completely remove the “search functionality” that appears on the 404 page as a temporary fix. (this can be considered as a last resort if no other way to resolve it).
