I have configured the email generator with each of its email templates for all customer stages (new order, completed, refund, new account, etc), but I am testing and when a “customer” makes a purchase or the status of his order is updated no email is sent to the customer or the administrator to know that there is a new order. In conclusion no email is generated. I tried disabling the default emails that wordpress has to see if that solved the error but nothing.
Hello, Edwinapnunez,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
Do you mean you tried to disable the Email Builder https://prnt.sc/0H1ZNt-LuQfN and emails can’t be sent still? If you did not try this, please do.
If the problem persists independintly of activation the Email Builder , please do one more test:
– activate Storefront (default WooCommerce theme) on site and test emails then.
If the problem persists independently of the activated theme, we would recommend you to contact your hosting provider and check the mail log + contact support of WooCommerce.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
I have checked the points that you have indicated, when I change the theme to storefront and I make a simulation of order I get an email from wordpress to the email address of the administrator indicating that “wordpress has detected a critical error with the xtore core plugin”.
The message in the email says exactly:
An error of type E_ERROR occurred on line 561 in the file /homepages/16/d867644644/htdocs/GuaperNueva/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/packages/woocommerce-email-template-customizer/includes/email-render.php.
Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function VIWEC\INC\unicode_chars() in /homepages/16/d867644644/htdocs/GuaperNueva/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/packages/woocommerce-email-template-customizer/includes/email-render.php:561
Hello, Edwinapnunez,
We appreciate your prompt response.
Please disable XStore Core plugin while doing the test with Storefront theme, and let us know the result.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
I have done the test without the core plugin and with the storefront theme and still no emails arrive neither to the customer nor to the administrator about new orders or order status changes.
I found the error, it was causing that the email that was as sender was a gmail, when it should be an email from the domain where I have the hosting of the site, by modifying it everything was solved, now emails are received both from administrator and to the client.
