    After upgrade of Elementor plugin xstore shop crashed in frontend:

    ElementorPro\Modules\Woocommerce\Widgets\Product_Add_To_Cart::handle_control_position: Cannot add a control outside of a section (use start_controls_section).

    Please, contact administrator

    Same problem.
    Single Product Builder needs PRO Elements plugin.
    When deactivating PRO Elements plugin, site is working again.
    Maybe when on Single product builde (new) is deleted button add to cart, this error goes up.

    The only way we could eliminate this error message was if we disabled Xstore theme and swich to Twenty twenty four theme.

    After we enabled again Xstore theme, header and footer had disapeared from shop.

    So we had to restore a backup. And now we are back to square one – frontend displays this error again:

    “ElementorPro\Modules\Woocommerce\Widgets\Product_Add_To_Cart::handle_control_position: Cannot add a control outside of a section (use start_controls_section)”

    Hello Tyler,

    Looks like the error was fixed.
    There is one more odd element: Add to cart button is huge:
    >> https://ibb.co/dmW35rn
    >> https://altramoda.ro/produse/bluza-dama-eleganta-maro/?cmp_bypass=incognito

    Do we have any restrictions in using the platform from now on? Should we stop updating elementor?
    What should we do?

    Thank you!

    Hello, Weblike PRO,

    Kindly proceed to insert the following code into the “Theme Custom CSS” section, which can be found under “Theme Options”.

    .etheme-wc-add-to-cart-wrapper svg {
        width: 1em;
        height: 1em;
    }

    “Do we have any restrictions in using the platform from now on? Should we stop updating elementor?
    What should we do?” – no restrictions. If you face new problems, please let us know.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello there,

    i have found a solution for

    ElementorPro\Modules\Woocommerce\Widgets\Product_Add_To_Cart::handle_control_position: Cannot add a control outside of a section (use
    start_controls_section
    ).

    Whenever you update the “Elementor Pro” it will ask you to update the database first don’t update it right away first just “Deactivate” Elementor Pro then run update for database. Once you’re done updating then reactivate you Elementor Pro plugin. Everything will work like normal i know it sounds crazy but it worked for me.

    OP i would like to mark my answer for this sollution,

    Hello, Razr1911,

    Thank you for contacting us and for sharing your solution here.

    Another solution can be downloading elementor.php file by this link https://we.tl/t-QsVd4NCNlD and re-uploading it into xstore/framework/compatibility folder via FTP.

    We hope this information is helpful.

    Thanks for the answers.

    Elementor support team also answered. They say we should disable PRO elements and install Elementor Pro (we have a license for Elementor PRO).

    Any idea on how can we do that, so we do not mess the website again?

    We just made a backup.

    Thanks!

    Hello, Weblike PRO,

    We trust this message finds you well.

    Should you possess an active Elementor Pro license, rest assured that you stand to benefit from this situation. We anticipate no disruptions to your current setup.

    For a seamless transition, please navigate to your WordPress Dashboard, proceed to the ‘Plugins’ section, deactivate the specified plugin, and subsequently install and activate the alternative plugin as required.

    We appreciate your cooperation and are here to assist should you require further support.

    Hello Tyler,

    We disabled Pro Elements and uploaded and installed Elementor PRO plugin:
    >> https://ibb.co/CBnHTjm

    Same error, frontpage has gone down:
    >> https://ibb.co/FXf2pd3

    WHAT WAS THE FIX?
    We fix it by switching to Default Theme, and then switching back to Xstore child theme.

    For now it seems that all is good.

    Thanks!
