Which theme editors should we be using on XStore? There is the built-in theme editor, Elementor, WPBakery and Header Builder! All of these theme and page editors – how are we supposed to know which one to use on which pages that are safe to use on the editing of our XStore websites? Which editors should I be using while editing my XStore?

    Hi,

We support both builders and at this moment don’t plan to stop support of any of them.
WPBakery is an older page builder, all our demo versions are available for the WPBakery because it was the main page builder till the few latest updates. Also, the theme comes bundled with the Massive Addons plugin that includes a number of additional elements for the WPBakery to extend the functionality.

Elementor is a modern page builder that is rapidly evolving. Visual and very handy as for me. At this moment we have 21 demos built using Elementor and more demos coming soon. We have 12 additional elements for the Elementor. Truly saying I like this more than WPBakery because of visuality and responsive settings that Elementor has. But the WPBakery builder also is very good. So, everything depends on demo content you want to install and actually what design of the site you plan.

If your pages are created using WPBakery Page Builder, so you can disable the Elementor plugin. Do not use 2 editors at the same time.

    Regards,
    Hung PD

Thank you for the feedback. So my questions are –

    1. How do we know which demo theme was built with which page builder? I think if I try to edit with one page builder that was built using another – I have corruption issues. So how do we avoid this?

    2. Does the description (or anywhere else) of your demo themes tell us which editor to use?

    3. Can I still use theme customize menu option and header builder along with Elementor? Or will Elementor overwrite the options I set in either one of these?

    Thanks –

After looking at the “Pages” within the demo project, it does appear that there is some sort of indicator next to the page name showing which editor was used, such as “Contact us 2 – Elementor”. So that answers Question #1 and #2 in my previous reply. That leaves Question #3, which is:

    3. Can I still use theme customize menu option and header builder along with Elementor? Or will Elementor overwrite the options I set in either one of these?

I think if this question can be answered, that should resolve this ticket.

    Hello,

    1. As I can see, pages on your site were created using Elementor, so the WPBakery can be disabled via Dashboard > Plugins.
    2. The editor can be selected during the demo content installation, for example – http://prntscr.com/tgaf9f
All these demos are based on WPBakery – http://prntscr.com/tgafuf https://preview.themeforest.net/item/xstore-responsive-woocommerce-theme/full_screen_preview/15780546 , and these demos – http://prntscr.com/tgagag on Elementor.
    3. We would recommend using our Theme Options > Header builder. Elementor – Header, Footer & Blocks plugin can be disabled on your site. If you want to create footer content using the Elementor, just enable it for static blocks – http://prntscr.com/tgah6i , for example – https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor/demos/organic01/ http://prntscr.com/tgahqr http://prntscr.com/tgai25 http://prntscr.com/tgai5r http://prntscr.com/tgai8g http://prntscr.com/tgaicb

    Regards
