Hello!
I have problems with the emails received by the clients when opening an account (especially), placing an order etc
Does your theme somehow overrides the woocommerce templates? If yes, my problem is that the romanian characters aren’t shown as they should. Screenshot here from a yahoo mail (problems with both title and content), and here from a gmail address (only the title is problematic).
Take into account that this usually happens with newsletters when the charset / content isn’t set to UTF-8. Also, please look here, as I’ve had a similar issue with characters recognition in iOS, which you’ve solved recently.
Thanks again 🙂
Sure, look here. This was the link to the other thread with character issues that was solved by you.
Can you please confirm / infirm that this is a theme issue? Thanks 🙂
Hello,
I’ve enabled child theme in Appearance > Themes where font fix was added in header.php file.
Please check if the problem still persists.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Nope, the problem still persists. Here is a screenshot from a couple of minutes aho of the way the characters are shown by yahoo mail, both in the title and also in the text.
For example, the text in the title of the mail is “Înregistrare reușită. Vă mulțumim!” – a thank you email for a new account made on the website.
I’ve tried everything, I suspect it’s from the theme, I’ve even bought an email customizer plugin that still is overwritten by something when it comes to some emails sent, especially that new account email sent probably directly by the theme.
This character issue has never happened before, we’ve developed many woocommerce sites and NEVER the woocommerce default email looked like this (when written in romanian language).
Thank you again 🙂
Hello again. Can you please look at this?
As a solution… can you make a change to my child theme, so the theme won’t override the default woocommerce mail templates?
I already have a plugin that customizes those emails, so I have more options than usual. And that plugin doesn’t create character issues.
Thanks again 🙂
Any news with this? Can you please help me? Thanks 🙂
Hello,
Sorry for a delay.
– You need enable the font you use with extended latin via Punch Fonts in wp-admin panel.
– Our theme shouldn’t affect woocommerce emails, only the notification email regarding registration. Please check this issue with default WordPress theme. If the problem persists only with our theme reply back yo us.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
Ok, can you tell me what fonts are default in the theme? Should I redownload those via the Punch Fonts?
I never had such a problem before. I’m going to activate the default theme AFTER I try this solution with the fonts.
Thanks again.
Hello!
Tried everything, however I haven’t got any results. Tried changing the fonts, with no results. Can you explain to me how to enable the font with extended latin via Punch Fonts in wp-admin panel?
Also, changed the theme to the default one – the problems with registration e-mails are gone. Also, tried with the registration form enabled on the connect (to my account) page, and since the email form called was the default woocommerce one, again, no problem with the fonts.
Can you please assist me on solving this problem soon? At first, please answer the question above, int’s not in your documentation (punch fonts).
Thanks again 🙂
Hello again. Can you please help me with this?
I also made a mirror instalation of the live site, on a demo site, so you can make there whatever changes you need.
Again, I think the simplest change / solution would be for the theme registration to call the default woocommerce mail template and not a custom one from the theme 🙂
Thanks 🙂
Any development on this? Thanks 🙂
Hello,
Sorry for delay. We have sent you royal/framework/theme-functions.php file to your email. Please, replace file in your theme and check if it fix the issue with our registration.

Olga Barlow
Thank you very much for the solution. Can confirm that it works.
Noticed that in the old version of theme-functions.php, the line of code that was changed included a ISO 8859-1 format, that was really bad.
Thanks again for the solution but please include it by default in the next version of the theme. 🙂
Hello,
You’re welcome.
We’ll include this fix in our next theme update.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
