Hi,
I noticed a similar thread about someone having problems after theme update, but that person downgraded the theme to previous version & solved it – so creating a new ticket.
I updated the theme in the morning, and have faced a lot of issues, meeting the “white screen of death” several times and had to disable all plugins, reset the theme etc.
Now the theme is installed but
a) Visual Composer is not loading at the frontend and not working at the backend
b) When I click on ‘All Pages’ in the dashboard, I again see nothing else but the white screen.
Can you advise on this, (site details below)
Best,
deepak
it was me and another guy, im stuck at the stage where I can not upgrade theme to 1.2 or use child theme as it is causing issues.
I have now been told to go via support ticket no doubt because I was complaining.
I just wish the theme did not have so many problems and seems buggy, I have the bare minimum plugins so they can’t be causing the issue.
Hello @dpac56,
Please provide us with FTP credentials as well.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Please find below.
Also, as additional info on the problems, Visual Composer (backend) starts working as soon as I switch to a different theme.
Hello,
Please give us permissions to be able to edit files via FTP as we’re getting this error:
“open for write: permission denied”
Thank you.

Hi Eva,
The site is hosted at Flywheel, and I just asked them about this issue. They replied that as a managed hosting provider they lock down the wp-config file and if you are trying to edit that, only then you would get this message.
If any other file editing is giving you this problem, please let me know. Else, they have said that they cannot open that permission but can make the changes if we email them the same.
Can you work on this and send me the changes which I can forward them?
Best,
Deepak
Hello,
Then please ask them to enable debug mode in wp-config.php file.

Thank you.

Hi,
I have enabled wp-debug, please let me know if anything more is needed.
Deepak
Hello,
As I see in wp-config.php file debug mode is still disabled:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);
It should be define('WP_DEBUG', true);
Please activate debugging.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Please check now, it should be enabled.
Thanks,
Deepak
Hello,
The problem was caused by Essential Grid plugin. I’ve deactivated it. Please check Pages menu now. If you want to use this plugin try to increase memory_limit value (ask your host to do this) as there was such error when the plugin is activated:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 81 bytes)
If the issue is resolved after that you can disable debug mode.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva,
I have asked my host to increase the memory size. I don’t think without this plugin the theme will work at all as seen in the demo.
However, I don’t know if you have noticed that now, with or without the essential grid plugin activated – the scroll is completely broken. You can only see whatever is in the browser window size and cannot scroll down to see more. Please fix this.
Best,
Deepak
Hello,
The problem was caused by Aqua Page Builder and PremiumCoding Shortcodes for Munditia theme plugin. I’ve disabled it. Please check the site now.
Thank you.
