    Dear 8Theme Support

After an update of the theme I receive this error message after an order:

There was an error processing your order. Please check for any charges in your payment method and review your order history before placing the order again.

The order and as well the payment goes through, but customers are ordering 2 or 3 times, since they dont get, that we received the order. As well the emails do not work or in other words we dont receive the order info.

When I disable the XStore Core Plugin everything works fine even with the XStore Theme activated. I tried of course as well different other themes without a problem. So it seems to me that the problem lays somewhere on the XStore Core Plugin.

Can you please have a look at this. Just let me know if you need more info.
Thanks ahead and a great day to you!

    Please, contact administrator

    Hello

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

We kindly request that you contact your hosting provider and relay our need for FTP access credentials. Specifically, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type.

Should you need any assistance in creating these credentials, please do not hesitate to reach out to your hosting provider, who will be able to guide you through the process.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We would like to bring to your attention that utilizing the Appearance theme editor or a file manager plugin via the site Dashboard to implement fixes or code carries the risk of inducing fatal errors. Such errors could potentially result in you being locked out and the website becoming inaccessible. It is for this reason that we recommend editing files through FTP; the use of the File Manager or theme editor alone does not offer the level of security and control required for such operations.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Dear @break4,

We have observed that you are utilizing a child theme with several modified email templates, as shown here: https://prnt.sc/yJ6kVJbPRhLV. We kindly request that you temporarily rename the ‘woocommerce’ and ‘yith-woocommerce-email-templates’ folders within your child theme and conduct further testing.

It is important to note that we have not previously encountered this issue. It is possible that there may have been a misconfiguration on your part. We encourage you to review our documentation for guidance: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/docs/xstore-built-in-woocommerce-email-builder/.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Jack

These are the folders Im using for the template I have to use now since Im facing problems with the XStore Email Builder.

I did further tests on the local server and figured out that:
    1. All works fine when I use PHP 7.4!
    2. The problem occures when I use PHP 8.1 which as well is the default on the production server.

So I guess the problem lays there somewhere.

    Dear @break4,

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you that we have been unable to replicate the issue you reported on our local site.

As your website is currently live, we are unable to perform debugging directly on it. To facilitate further investigation, could you kindly set up a staging version of your site with PHP version 8.1? This would enable us to conduct tests without affecting your live environment.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards,

    Hi @break4,

Thank you so much for creating a staging site for us.

Could you please help us to check the FTP account, it doesn’t show any directories/files under that account?

    https://prnt.sc/TJj6WS5muET9

We’ve also tried to install WP File Manager but it doesn’t seem to work: https://prnt.sc/kdTaD5FvvYgU

    Dear Luca

Sorry my fault. I set the directory wrong. Please try again with the same credentials and you should see the whole directory by now.

    Dear @break4,

We hope this message finds you well. We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully applied the necessary hotfix to your staging site to address the compatibility issue between the WooCommerce Email Builder and PHP version 8.1.

Could you please take a moment to review the changes at your earliest convenience? If everything is functioning as expected, we would be prepared to proceed with applying the hotfix to your live site as well.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your confirmation.

    Hi Luca

Thanks for your efforts. Yes, it works fine on the stage site.
Can you please apply it to the live site as well or send me the hotfix?
I would need this info anyway since we have other sites with the same problem.
In addition will this hotfix be part of coming updates?

    Thank you and cheers

    Dear @break4,

The hotfix was applied to file: /home/razorgos/staging.razorgosidemount.eu/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/packages/woocommerce-email-template-customizer/includes/email-render.php, so you just need to copy this file to other sites.

This issue should be fixed in upcoming updates.
