TITLES, H1, H2 DUPLICATED ON EACH PAGE - by Eprana

Hello Rose

I’m reviewing my website with Screaming Frog and all the TITLES, H1, and H2, of the web, on each page, are duplicates.

In EACH OF THE PAGES of my website, in EACH OF THE PRODUCTS, in EACH OF THE POSTS, Screaming Frog detects that there are 2 equal titles, 2 equal H1, and 2 equal H2.

Through a Seo forum, a companion, have has checked my code, and has detected the following:

“You are designing the page with a visual layout or a template that to remove the titles, by default IS MAKING INVISIBLE, BUT NOT DEACTIVATING THEM. That’s why duplicate content is coming out of you”

I need my pages, products, and posts, to only have 1 TITLE (and the same with the H1 … etc)

HOW SHOULD I DO IT?

Hello,

Provide me links to pages where you have doubled H1 tag. We found many h2 tags at some pages but all of them are related to content that you have added, so if you want to use h2 only once then edit pages, edit texts that you added and change the h2 to any other tag that will be suitable for you.

It is a matter of internal code of the Theme. Not the H2 that I decide to add.

Having duplicate content is a big problem for SEO. But besides, it is not me who is writing 2 titles, 2 H1 or 2 H2, but it’s already this way by the code of the Theme.

I would like my case to be reviewed by an assistant developer of woopress theme… is this possible?

As an example, I created the post “post test” (without any content)

When viewed on the page, that name appears twice, so it gives me duplicate content in Screaming Frog.
It is not enough to hide it, since Google detects it even if it is hidden. You have to eliminate it.

In the second image, extracted from the Extension “Web Developer” you can see that despite having the option “Show Product Title” in “OFF” mode, you can verify that the code of the Theme is duplicating by default, the H1

Hello,

1) We have fixed issue with the double h1 tag on the single product page, also we have fixed the double title issue.
2) h2 tags that you mentioned (description, product information) are default WooCommerce content http://prntscr.com/l0vxcp So, contact WC plugin support if you want to use another tag for these titles.
3) So, do you want to remove title in the breadcrumbs or in the post content http://prntscr.com/l0w26q ?

I’m sorry but I’m afraid the problem of duplicate H1 and Titles in the code of the individual articles REMAINS UNRESOLVED.

Hello,

1), 2) Looks like all the changes that we made in template fixes to fix breadcrumbs and titles are removed. Please, provide me correct FTP access to your site to fix the problem again.
3) We’ll remove that title once you provide correct FTP.
