    my top header suddenly shows widget as shown in the photo below
    can I remove it

    You have 2 widget elements here – https://prnt.sc/pzjy4f but selected areas are empty – http://prntscr.com/pzjx5w You need to delete Widgets elements from the header structure or add content via Appearance > Widgets.
