    Hello all,
    I’ve got some newbie questions to this blanco website I’ve just purchased. I’ve gone through all documents and youtube videos but to no avail. Please please help me.

    a) I can’t seem to make my top menu full width. I’ve tried adding the css style menu-full-width code but it’s not doing anything.

    b) I’ve tried creating the category sidebar in all the pages under the shop menu. But it’s only showing under shop when I click on it and not other categories.

    c) I don’t want the total number of products showing in my homepage, below the latest products ( I want to keep latest and feature products tho) I’ve spent days trying to get rid of it but its not working. Please help.

    My website is http://www.shopbigsmile.com

    Thank you for all the help in advance.

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

    a) Please add this code into custom.css file:

    #main-nav > ul > li:first-child {
       padding-right: 30px;
    }
    #main-nav > ul > li { padding: 3px 30px 3px 1px; }

    To create custom.css you need rename default.custom.css to custom.css located in wp-content/themes/blanco directory and enable it in Blanco – Theme Settings > General > tick “Enable Custom CSS file”.

    b), c) You need select another page for products in Woocommerce > Settings > Products tab > “Product Archive / Shop Page” field.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Thank you so much for your fast reply Eva. I’ve followed your instructions, I’ve redirected the woocomerce shop archive page into shop. Looks very neat now =) Thank you so much.

    I’ve renamed the default file using filezilla, inserted your code and enabled it within Blanco themes. However it’s still the same.

    Also do I create the categories side bar inside the woocommerce>settings>product tab?

    Last question, how that I’ve moved the shop products under shop categories, my homepage is blanked out with text, is there any way I can revert to what it was originally? like in the demo blanco site.

    So sorry for the questions and thank you so much for you help.

    Regards,

    Kevin

    You’re welcome.
    Your home page didn’t work because you selected it for Posts page as well in Settings > Reading, but it’s not allowed to have the same pages for different purposes. So I’ve changed posts page to Blog.

    Please check your menu now. Is it showing fine? If no, please show us a screenshot how you’d like it to be displayed.

    As you selected 5 products per row sidebar won’t be displayed. I’ve changed it to 3 products per row in Blanco – Theme Settings > Product Page > “Products per row” and saved the settings. After that sidebar has started showing.
    Please check.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva, Thank you so much again. I’m afraid I don’t know how to copy a screenshot into here. But the website https://www.8theme.com/site_demo/#legenda has it. When the home or shop is hovered, the top menu widens across the whole screen. At the moment, mine is a little box when it’s hovered. I’ve tried menu-full-width as shown on youtube and documentations but it hasn’t been working.

    Also, with the blanco/lengenda (different?) link above, the categories on the left under shop are more spaced out and has much nicer font. Is there anything I can do to make it like that?

    Thank you so much again Eva, you’ve been an amazing help.

    Hello,

    You’re welcome.
    Sorry, but full width menu feature is available for Legenda theme only.
    As I misunderstood you concerning the menu question you may remove the code in custom.css file.

    You can upload screenshots to some image storage and then provide us with the links to images.
    Please show us what you want to do with categories on the Shop page to avoid misunderstanding again.
    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    ahh, I always thought they were the same. Not to worry.

    I’ve removed the code in custom.css file and renamed it to default-custom.css and disabled the enable css website as it was before, but the menu on the homepage is still there.

    Can you also please list the steps to add categories on the side menu bar?

    Thanks again.

    There was no need to rename back custom.css. Perhaps you’ll want to make some style changes in future and you’ll need to use this file.
    What do you mean “menu on the homepage is still there”? Do you wan to remove it? Are you trying to add categories to the sidebar on the Shop page?
    It would be more easier to understand if you show us screenshots.
    Thank you.

    Hi, sorry for the confusion. I would like this to be removed please. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pmqqrlk3uogq4gv/Screen%20Shot%202014-08-09%20at%207.22.33%20PM.png

    Yes, I would like to add categories to the sidebar. My current one looks like this,

    I somehow did the existing categories by accident. But I can’t seem to back track and do it again. Can you please teach me how to do it?

    I would really like it to look like this, with the small spaces between different categories and the bullet points. Like the very small space between “sneakers: and “sandal flip flops”. Hope this makes sense

    To remove the “Sidebar Menu” widget from Home page you need delete it from Primary Widget Area in Appearance > Widgets.
    To add categories to the sidebar on the Shop page you can do this via Appearance > Widgets as well.
    Just drag “Woocommerce product categories” widget into the “Product Page Sidebar” area.
    We recommend you to use Woocommerce widget for categories and not Sidebar Menu which you’re using now. There are will be spaces with “Woocommerce product categories” widget.
    Thank you.

    Hi Eva,

    Thanks again. I’m starting to get the whole picture now. I’ve got rid of the sidebar and replaced woo commerce product categories. I’ve bumped into another mini problem. Through product categories under woocommerce settings I’ve made all the menus and sub menus, but it’s not showing like I set it out to be when I refresh the front page (namely the iPhone 4s are not sub-categorized). The other parent menu (like wall deco and party customs are not showing also) I’ve attached the photos for your reference. Thanks again.

    Hello,

    The reason is you have 0 products for other categories. That’s why they are not displayed.
    You need add at least 1 product for each category to make them shown.
    Please try it.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Everything’s working great Eva, thank you =). Would you be able to tell me how I can add the woo commerce filter by price widget under the woo commerce category sidebar. It seems every time when I drag the Widget within Single product sidebar it replaces the whole sidebar category. Thanks for your help. This is what I’m trying to get https://www.dropbox.com/s/reln98x08zar7ni/reduced-side-menu-price.png?dl=0 (Sorry for the poor quality-the link is broken so I can only screen cap this)

    But I keep getting this https://www.dropbox.com/s/vh8crevupcgksat/Screen%20Shot%202014-08-26%20at%2015.25.43.png?dl=0

    Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello,

    Are you trying to insert Price filter widget into Single Product Page?
    Sorry, but it only works on Shop page, where many products are displayed.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
