Hi i’m trying to translate with loco following your guide, but don’t know how to trasfer on Child Theme. Another things how do i traslate the front page text? difficult to find what i need to translate, so many things.
Hello, @mirko,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to inform you that translations should be primarily applied to the parent theme. Once completed, these translations will be automatically applied to the corresponding child theme. However, should you have introduced custom code within the child theme that utilizes localization functions, it will be necessary to translate the child theme separately.
Please ensure that the translation files for the parent theme are correctly placed within the designated directory: /wp-content/languages/themes/.
For plugins, such as the Core plugin, the correct directory for translation files is: /wp-content/languages/plugins/.
Additionally, to translate text on the front page, kindly use the specific page builder (e.g., Elementor) to edit the page. You can then modify the content by accessing the settings of the individual elements or widgets as needed.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
The 8Theme Team
