Hi There
I have a problem translating woocommerce? I have added translation files for Danish in the language folder in the /wp-content/languages/plugins I have added them to theme language folder and notting happens – or only some of it is translated but all the strings should be translated as I use them on another site as well where it work fine?
What to do?
Hello,
What strings are without translation? Have you already translated our theme?
Regards
Almost all the Woocommerce stuff – I have used the same translation files on another site where everything is fine?
The popout cart, cart page, checkout page, shop page etc.
Hello,
Provide, please, temporary admin panel and FTP access. I need to check your site to find what caused the issue.
Regards
Hello – I’ve add the information in the private content.
Thanks
Hello,
Could you, please, tell me the path to your wp installation where our xstore is installed? Can’t find it on your FTP.
Regards
Besides, I see that translation file that you placed in theme translation directory is woocommerce translation file, not our theme http://prntscr.com/d47txo
If you want to translate our theme you should translate xstore translation files http://prntscr.com/d47why .
Regards
I really don’t understand this. I have another installation on exact same server, your theme and the same translation files. And that is translated just fine..?
Path/login to the FTP is in the private section.
Hello,
I don’t know about another your site, I can check only the site that I have access to.
You did not translate all the necessary strings http://prntscr.com/d4ye92
For example My account http://prntscr.com/d4yex2 and etc.
Please, translate theme.
Regards
Ok thank you – I never did this on the other site but everything was translated without Loco translate.
But thanks for having a look at it.
Hello,
Probably you used PoEdit to translate theme. Any theme can’t be translated without translation files.
Loco translate plugin just allows you to translate theme, plugins via Dashboard. But if you prefer PoEdit you can use it.
Regards
Well that’s what I did but where should I then place the translated files – because that’s what I thought I already did?
Maybe I have placed them wrongly?
Hello,
You can place them into wp-content/themes/xstore/languages folder. Make sure that you placed translated xstore .po/.mo files, not woocommerce! Our translation file has less than 800 strings.
