I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I am experiencing with activating my 8theme theme on my WordPress site.
Upon attempting to activate the theme, I encountered an error message indicating that the style.css file is missing. Additionally, I tried to upload the theme manually from the WordPress dashboard, but I was unsuccessful in doing so.
Here are the steps I followed:
I downloaded the theme package from my 8theme account.
I navigated to the WordPress dashboard and went to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.
I selected the downloaded theme ZIP file and clicked “Install Now.”
After these steps, the following error message appeared: The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue? I would appreciate detailed instructions on how to properly install and activate the theme without encountering this error. If there are any specific files or steps I might be missing, please let me know.
