I am using static blocks for the Footer with 2 rows – the newsletter row light grey background and the main footer purple background.

However, I am unable to clear the footer background set in Theme Options > Footer > Footer Styling so it is overriding my static block settings making the whole background purple.

Every time I remove the Footer Background Colour and Publish it appears to remove it. When I then refresh the background is still there.

How can I ensure it is using the background colours from the Footer static block only?

    Hello, Antonia

We suggest that you set the Transparent color in Theme Options > Footer > Styling. For your reference, please see the screenshot provided – https://prnt.sc/IPx5EmVi9Stz
We wish you the best of luck.

    Kind Regards,

I tried that and it makes the background transparent as you would expect.

I want to CLEAR the background colours and show those from the Static Block.

    Hello, Antonia

Colors from static block should work now. Please provide temporary wp-admin access, so we can check your settings for the Footer static block.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello, Antonia

I’ve disabled Static blocks cache via Theme Options > Speed Optimization.
    Please check now.

    Hello, Miki,

    Thank you for your response.

In your case, it is the Elementor menu. Please watch this video – https://youtu.be/dedHEO443nE

“Why it doubles itself?” – it is because not all our customers use static blocks for the Footer.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our support team is always available to assist you.

    Kind Regards,
