Hi,
Can you update my website to Royal 3.4, but keep the name that I have given my website (see Private Content). When I try to do this, my website crashes.
Thank you!
Please give me a heads up before you update
Hello,
Wp-admin credentials are incorrect. Please check them.
I would recommend you to update theme via FTP. Please read our documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade
Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/royal/ to avoid problems with old files (it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package).
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
You need to enter your purchase code to activate the theme and skip Setup Wizard.
Regards
Hi Rose,
I cannot do it. Please help.
Hello,
Please describe in details what problems do you face.
Regards
I do not know how to give the theme a specific name without crashing the website. You helped update my website to Royal 3.0
Hello,
Themes list in Dashboard http://prntscr.com/hjueqt
FTP themes list http://prntscr.com/hjuf7k
It means that you provided FTP to the different site than Dashboard access we have. Please, check this and provide me correct FTP access to update your theme.
Regards
Please find the FTP credentials enclosed.
Can you please update my theme to 4.1
Is this possible? Thank you
Hello,
Thanks. Now give me also correct Dashboard access, the previous one does not work anymore.
Regards
Hi,
Please find the login codes enclosed in Private Content.
When you use the ‘and symbol’, you must remove the amp; which is automatically added.
So & is just the ‘and symbol’, without the amp;
Hello,
Unfortunately, the wp-admin credentials are incorrect. Please check them.

Hi,
Please see Private Content. Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you. Now access works fine.
We have checked your site and see that you already use Royal 3.4 http://prntscr.com/in1fmg
If you want to update it to version 4.2 (latest version). You need to update WooCommerce and WPMl plugin first. Because theme version 4.0 and higher does not support WC plugin version 3.2.x, only 3.3.x versions.
So, update these plugins and reply back. We’ll continue with theme update.
Regards
Hi,
Okay. I thought I had to update theme first. I will update tomorrow morning and reply back.
Thank you.
I have updated Woocommerce and WPML.
Thank you kindly for updating theme to 4.2.
The products now look distorted due to Woocommerce 3.3 update. Hopefully with the theme update this will be fixed (see this image). Thank you
Hello,
We have updated theme. Check, please.
WC plugin has changed image settings in 3.3 update and now you can manage them from WP customizer and set the size for the catalog and single product image. Don’t forget to regenerate thumbnails after that.
Also, you have some files in child theme that were updated in version 4.2. You need to update child theme files according to necessary changes in the parent theme.
Regards
Thank you for the update.
Unfortunately, things look distorted:
– Please see this page and this image. (an image is now over the order button so customers cannot click on it).
– The page speed is slow for some reason.
– Related products do not show. Only a loading screen (please see this image)
– I can’t change the number of displayed products to 3 per row. It is stuck on 4 per row. Please see this page.
– Normally, if you move your cursor/mouse on an image, it shows the image for hover effect. Now it does not do this anymore.
– Featured images do not show at blog posts. Please see this page.
– Text when you hover over an image is unfortunately gone again. Please see this image. The same is again true for related products.
– You cannot click on the next page like normal (please try pressing on page 2 or 3 on this page). And when you click on it, the pages option disappears (there a no numbers anymore for the pages).
– On the homepage, the header is black. Please see this image.
– On the homepage, the header of Royal shows when you move the cursor down. Please see this image.
– The search option at the top of the page (top bar) is now gone.
Hello,
1) You are using CDN. Clear CDN cache because we made a lot of changes in scripts and now your site use the new PHP files but old scripts from your CDN. Even theme image in the backend is cached. It should be http://prntscr.com/inysti but I see the old one http://prntscr.com/inyszz
2) Compare child theme files with new theme files. Old files in your child theme may include old code that won’t work with the updated parent theme http://prntscr.com/inyu4x
Reply back with the list of problems that will remain once you do 2 previous points.
Regards
Hi,
‘1. I have emptied cache through CDN. Image in backend looks good now.
‘2. I have no idea. Please help.
For future reference, the login codes to CDN are in the Private Content.
‘2. The only thing that need updating is an image (of a truck on the single product page). Other than that, things are fine. Please see this image.
The whole webshop page is gone, i.e. no products are shown. Please see this image.
This is critical.
Also, the single product page is very distorted. Please see this image.
Can you please look at my website? Things are very distorted, since 2 days ago.
Thank you kindly
Can you please let me know
Hello,
We have updated out of date files that we found. Clear CDN again and check, please.
Regards
Hi,
Thank you kindly.
The following issues remain:
– I can’t change the number of displayed products to 3 per row. It is stuck on 4 per row.
– You cannot click on the next page like normal (please try pressing on page 2 or 3 on any page). And when you click on it, the pages option disappears (there a no numbers anymore for the pages).
– Normally, if you move your cursor/mouse on an image, it shows the image for hover effect. Now it does not do this anymore.
– Featured images do not show at blog posts. Please see this page. Also, the text ‘was last modified’ now appears (which is wrong).
– Text when you hover over an image is unfortunately gone again. The same is again true for related products.
