Hi, I’d like to know your recommendation on manually uploading an update to a plugin:

    1) instead of extracting the zip file locally, isn’t it faster to upload the entire zip file and extract on the server?
    2) is it better to delete the current plugin folder on the server which you want to replace before extracting or should you just overwrite existent files and folders?
    3) while updating on server should you deactive the plugin in WordPress?
    4) I have 2 rows ‘WPBakery Visual Composer’ in WordPress plugin overview. How can I delete the older version?

Looking very much forward to your reply.
    Best.
    Jens

    1) yes

    2) no. rather than that backup it by renaming the folder. in case, if your new version makes any conflict you can revert back the old version.

    3) No need

    4) Go to admin dashboard >> plugins where you can see the plugin list.
In two VC you can see their versions. deactivate the old one and then delete it.
