Updating the theme - by supersupporter - on WordPress WooCommerce support

Hi,

Everytime we update the theme there are certain changes that keep getting reverted, Favicon and Contact map to mention just a couple, how can we prevent this from happening. I have been told to make sure I am using a Child theme which I think I am , but this does not seem to be helping.

Please describe changes that you lose after theme update in details.

I lose theme changes, like favicon, some map features, logo sometimes and general settings

Hello,

Please, make sure you have checked all the server requirements http://prntscr.com/hv1d8x
Also, I would recommend you export theme settings into file (Theme Options > Import/Export > Import or Export your theme configuration > Export Options) and import this option file after the update.
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
For now available 3.5 theme version, so you may update theme follow our suggestions.
Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/legenda/ to avoid problems with old files (it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package).
Also, update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ (to update free plugins just click on update link from your Dashboard (Plugins > Installed Plugins); to update premium plugins, connect to your server using FTP. Copy extracted plugins folders into wp-content/plugins/).
