Hello fellow X Store users,
I’m experiencing a major issue with my WordPress site using the X Store theme, and I’m hoping someone here can help me out. The problem is that the “X Store Core” plugin is not activated, and I’m unable to install it. I keep getting the following error message:
https://www.cjoint.com/c/MEbvEq3K2FV
I’ve tried going to ThemeForest to re-download the plugin and reinstall it, but I’m stuck at this point and can’t do anything. I’ve actually faced this issue before when I first installed the theme, but I managed to resolve it back then. Unfortunately, I can’t remember how I did it.
Can anyone please provide any guidance or suggestions on how to fix this problem? I’m at a loss, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows the solution, please let me know.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Mady

Hello! I don’t understand, the problem still persists:

What can I do to help with this issue?
Hello, Mady,
The core plugin was installed on your site incorrectly, so you need to connect your files via FTP and delete et-core-plugin, then you will be able to upload the latest plugin version via Dashboard.
We can’t connect your files via FTP:
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Could not connect to server
so we can’t do this for you.

Dear Rose Tyler
I wanted to inform you that the connection issue you experienced was completely normal, as the hosting platform, “Hostinger,” was dealing with a general problem. However, this issue has now been resolved.
Could you please retry to resolve the plugin issue on your end? If you need any further assistance or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Mady
Dear Mady,
FTP directory is empty – https://gyazo.com/30d7a2cf3f32d875f9e2a380ce9356fc
Please check, or ask your hosting provider for help with this, we need access to your WP installation to be able to see plugins files.

Hello,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to inform you that I have decided to completely overhaul my current website. In order to do this, I need to remove the existing license from the current site and transfer it to another site of mine.
Could you please let me know if this is possible and provide any guidance on the necessary steps to accomplish this transfer? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Hello Mady,
Just unregister the theme from XStore > Welcome panel – https://prnt.sc/4-nuyKcg4zfe , then you will be able to activate XStore on new site. When all will be fine there, delete XStore from the old site via Appearance > Themes.

Hello Mady,
Strange, we’ve checked and we do not have this problem on our test site.
In this case, you can just delete XStore from the site and activate the theme on the new site.
Let us know if any further assistance will be needed.

Hello Rose Tyler
I hope you’re doing well. I’m encountering an issue with my WordPress website and I could really use your help. I managed to remove “Xstore”, but when I go to Appearance > Themes, both “Xstore” and “Xstore Child” themes are still present, although they’re deactivated.
When I try to reactivate the Xstore Core plugin, the installation fails with a message saying “Plugin install failed.” Moreover, when I attempt to deactivate the license key, an error message appears: “Error while deactivating.”
Can you please guide me on how to resolve these issues and properly activate the Xstore Core plugin?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Hello Mady,
“When I try to reactivate the Xstore Core plugin, the installation fails with a message saying “Plugin install failed.” “- to solve it, please connect your site files via FTP, go to wp-content/plugins folder > rename et-core-plugin folder, then delete it. After that, you will be able to upload the latest version of Core via Dashboard.

Hello Mady,
Please try to upload the plugin manually via FTP in the next way:
– download the plugin archive from this page https://www.8theme.com/downloads/ on your computer and unzip it;
– upload et-core-plugin folder into wp-content/plugins via FTP.
– go to Dashboard > Plugins > XStore Core plugin should appear and you will be able to activate it.
We hope this information is helpful.
