Use Child Theme AFTER instalation of the theme, HOW?

Hello Team,

I made the mistake to install Xstore (selecting option NOT to use Child theme), install demo and make customization to it and now i realize the need of use of Child Theme. But when i install and activate it, whole website changes like it does not remember half of the settings and etc.

How to use Child theme in this case?

Hello,

1/ Enable the parent theme again.
2/ After that go to Theme Options > Import / Export > download the export file.
3/ Go Appearance > Themes > enable child theme.
4/ Go to Theme Options > Import / Export > import the exported file to get all your options back. But keep in mind that WP Customizer saves settings for the every theme to the separate fields, so you need to export/import options if you want to get them for the child theme or from child theme to parent theme again.

What do you mean with that? I will make export/import, settings from Customizer, will be imported to or no? How to export them too? Or i have to make those changes there again?

Hello,

Go to Theme Options > Import/Export and download export file. Activate child theme and go to the same place to import your options using mentioned file.
