Hello, @mirko,
In WooCommerce, setting up a variable product with different formats (such as caps and dust) can be done using product variations. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can achieve this:
1. Create a Variable Product:
-In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Products” and click “Add New.”
-Choose “Variable product” from the Product Data dropdown.
2. Attributes:
-In the Product Data section, go to the “Attributes” tab.
-Add an attribute for the format (e.g., “Format”) and define the values (e.g., “Caps” and “Dust”).
-Make sure to check the box that says “Used for variations.”
3. Variations:
-After adding the attribute, go to the “Variations” tab.
-Select “Create variations from all attributes” and click “Go.”
-This will generate variations for each combination of attributes.
4. Edit Variations:
-Edit each variation to set specific details.
-For “Caps,” you can set the quantity and any other relevant details.
-For “Dust,” you can set the quantity, flavor (using another attribute), and other details.
-Make sure to set a unique SKU for each variation.
5. Pricing:
Set individual pricing for each variation based on the format.-
6. Save Changes:
-Save the changes to update the product.
Now, when a customer visits the product page, they can choose between “Caps” and “Dust” from a dropdown. The price will dynamically update based on their selection.
Remember to test the product page to ensure everything is working as expected.
This method provides a clear way for customers to choose between different formats of the same product on your WooCommerce store.

As im reading i should be able to set attributes in each variable product itself? Right?
Hello, @mirko,
We would like to inform you that it is possible to configure the attributes on a global level via the WordPress Dashboard. This can be accomplished by navigating to Products > Attributes.
Alternatively, you have the option to set the attributes manually by editing each product individually. Please be assured that both methods are effective and will achieve the desired outcome.

Hi Im sending here the link of Video which may give you an understanding of what i see, so i ve made 3 attribute and used for variation which are format (dust, caps)
Caps quantity(150) because not able to set on the variable
flavaur (orange) because not abale to set as well
At the end when you go in front end u can never select a right staff and nothing works as it should, because of incorrect setting of variable
The link for the video sorry.
So lets presume i have a variable product which might be 2 format caps and dust, the caps there are three type of quantity 120cps , 150cps ,60cps
Obviously the caps aren’t flavoured. But the dust have to.
So the other productis the same but in dust kind and different flavours.
Like orange, lemon and berries
200gr and 400gr
How can i manage it!???
When i select caps it doesn’t have to ask for flavour. But only the quantity
And when i select dust i should select quantity + flavour.
Another case I could also have only one type of caps and when i select caps it should give me the regular size which might be 150cps without asking me nothing else.
Don’t know if i have been clear enough in the explanation.

I resolved the issue by my self, because of two product in this case i was able to add only description and it did the way.
Another solution for two product is to make an 2 attribute 1 called exemple: flavour and another quantity
Under flavour 2 terms cold be une caps and ond Orange
In quantity one 150cps one 210gr.
This combination will allow you to choose the desire format by selecting quantity and format. Kind of
And every things seems to go well.
Many thanks for your support anyway.
