Hi.
I was trying to make the variations show as buttons (boxes) instead of the dropdowns. I followed your video but nothing works. Can you please check that as well?
Thanks.
Hello, @Hempednyc,
We are delighted to inform you that the issue you reported has been successfully resolved. We kindly request you to revisit your site after clearing your browser cache.
To address your issue, we have made modifications to the ‘Size’ attribute in the following path: WP-Dashboard >> Products >> Attributes. The type has been changed to “Label”. For your reference, we have provided screenshots of the changes made. You can view them via the links below:

Thanks, that’s a relief, now we know there is no real issue here.
So I can see the Sizes is fixed, how can we make sure all the other Attributes are working as well? Usually we set attributes on the product level (within product edit page). We setup attributes and variations there.
In other words… We want to use variation swatches for product attributes, not only global attributes.
Hello, @Hempednyc,
Thank you for your response.
Two different product attributes are available in WooCommerce, local and global product attributes. In WooCommerce both options are called attributes, but there is a difference in the functionality of these attributes.
Global attributes: These are the properties that you will find in the WP-Admin under Product > Attributes. All attributes created here are at on a global website level and can be used with all products.
Local attributes: These attributes are created when you create or edit a product. You cannot use these attributes to filter and they are only visible on the product page itself.
You can use only global attributes for our variation swatches – https://youtu.be/LgzC4iK-j6A
This is how it works.

I hate this kind of answers because they are not real answers.
You are stating fake facts:
Local attributes: These attributes are created when you create or edit a product. You cannot use these attributes to filter and they are only visible on the product page itself.
This is not true! Until we decided to move from our previous theme to yours we have ben using the plugin WooCommerce Variation Swatches and it works with both types of attributes very nicely.
I would rephrase your statement like this: Our Xstore theme are not capable to work with Product (Local) Attributes, only with Global Attributes.
Now we have to work it around since you have no fully support for attributes.
Hello, @Hempednyc,
We have provided you with a genuine response and have clarified that our theme utilizes global attributes for variation swatches, as demonstrated in our instructional video. Currently, you are insistently requesting functionality that was never a part of our theme. Here on the support forum, we can only offer guidance regarding current the theme’s functionality. Please show understanding.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team.
I think you are missing the whole point.
People here will review this topic because they face the same issues and your answers doesn’t help to solve anything. If you claim that you have covered everything, and you are showing demos of it it should be really covered.
You have very nice and well setup WP theme, it’s 99% complete. Many people online asking the same questions we are asking, because we want it all to work as intended.
After paying for the theme, installing it, adding content and other plugins, spending days of work to make it look nice and work for our business, and now you are coming with this refund solution…. This is not professional in my opinion.
Unfortunately, if there is really nothing to do with this and you cannot help we will have to hire developers to do your job.
Hello, @Hempednyc,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.
We understand that encountering limitations with theme functionality can be frustrating, especially after investing time and resources into setting up your website. Our theme is designed to offer a comprehensive solution, and we strive to cover as many use cases as possible. However, we acknowledge that there may be specific needs that are not met by the current theme settings.
Regarding the variation swatches and global attributes, it is true that they are designed to work within the predefined behavior of the theme. We appreciate your feedback and the need for additional flexibility in this area.

Hi, thanks.
Can you please give us some estimate for this task if we like to get it done by your development team?
Hello, @Hempednyc,
We appreciate your prompt response.
You will be able to receive an estimate via email after submitting your request through our contact form at https://www.8theme.com/contact-us/. We are unable to provide an estimate here on the forum as a separate department of our company handles customization requests.

Hi,
Thanks, but we decided to keep our previous used plugin Variation Swatches and turn off your feature since it causes too many issues. Even if you will fix it to us now and we will pay for it, it will only be a matter of time until an update of your theme or other feature will cause another issue to solve.
Anyway, you have a good theme in your hands, I would keep it like that and make sure that EVERYTHING is working, we all will be grateful and you will have less time to spend on technical support.
Thanks.
