Variation swatches system show image only when you select all variations on product page

hello
I have variable products on my website set up with color and size attributes
(each product might have 2 variations; Green/XL ,Green/L,Green/S…..
and the product’s image doesn’t switch unless a color AND size is selected on product page

note: I selected the principal attribute as color and the option is working normally on quick view as you can see in the video
