Hi,
Visual Composer isn’t working properly and I am unable to make edits to most elements especially text blocks!
Please see image;

Basically, I click on the edit element icon it launches the editor but nothing is there and I can’t make any edits.
I have downloaded the latest plugins, installed them via ftp, I have deactivated all of my plugins apart from VC and Ultimate VC and they still didn’t work which tells me its not a conflict.
Any ideas? As currently this theme is pretty useless to me given I can’t actually use it and not a good start considering I’ve only just purchased it!
Please help me sort it!
Many thanks
I am having the exact same issue.
I have content in my website from a previous theme, none of it is editable and I can not create any new content on new pages either. I have also deactivated all of my plugins apart from VC and Ultimate VC, doesn’t fix the problem.
EDIT: Just realized this is in the Royal Forum, I’m having this issue with Woopress so I guess I’ll head over to that forum. Sorry! ~
Hello @lscudder,
I’ve checked Visual Composer editor and Text element opened successfully:

Try to clear browser cache and check again. Also check it in another browser.
Thank you.

Hi
I have done this many times since this error began, believe me I wouldn’t of contacted support before trying out basic troubleshooting techniques!
Just to confirm though, I have again cleared the browser cache, history and everything else across my three main browsers which are Chrome, Firefox and Safari as well as ensured they were all up to date, which they are.
Heres the error, still happening on all 3 browsers!

Hello,
Please change the theme to default WordPress theme (Twenty fifteen or Twenty fourteen) in Appearance > Themes and check VC editor with this theme. Does the problem persists there too?
Thank you.

Hi
I tried this and it didn’t work either, I have also just flushed the local DNS resolver cache on my local machine and again nothing.
I am out of ideas now, so have decided to install a fresh new install of WordPress and then re-import and data I need. If this doesn’t work then I really don’t have a clue what’s to do next, I’ll let you know shortly!
Ok, I just took another look (as if I am honest I didn’t want to completely reinstall my site)
It occurred to me that it could be the child theme I was using so I switched to the main theme and still it wouldn’t work, I then re-tried 2015 theme and it allowed me to edit the text elements this time.
So there must be an issue or conflict with the theme itself? What happens now?
Ok, the clean install seems to be working now – I’ll let you know if I run into anymore problems as something must of corrupted my database.
Thanks
