Hi, I have over 52000 products on the site and would very much like to speed up the search. Is there a way to turn off the autocomplete? It takes over 30 seconds of real time to return results. Is there a way to turn off the autocomplete?

Also the search doesn’t remove the “s” if some one types in blender bottles, and the sku search doesn’t do partial sku

AJAX Search uses like except for the search that uses the enter button. Searhc that uses enter button doesn’t use like it uses complete. Can this be adjusted?

    Hello,

    1) Ajax results time depends on server response time and DataBase structure. Our theme does not have options to improve the results time because it’s related to how fast your server (DB) sends the response to requests made by theme. Try to improve the DB structure and speed up the server response time to get better results.

    2) Search does not remove any symbols from the search request, how does it know when you want to remove “s” and when you don’t?

    3) What do you mean by partial SKU? Could you provide examples from your site to check it?

    Regards

The full product number is 62984-3WCGC and it doesn’t seem to work either

    Hello,

Try to create header using header builder https://youtu.be/RbdKjQrFnO4
Let me know if search by SKU works fine when header is created with header builder and when you use search element of the header builder. Keep in mind that the default header structures will be removed soon and the header builder will the main option to build header.
Or provide us with temporary Dashboard access to your site if you need help with header creation.

    Regards

Using the header builder will speed up the search? While using the header builder is a small nightmare. Why is it that it doesn’t just adjust the current header to fit the new layout instead of forcing people to rebuild it?

Also using the header builder causes the wordpress menu locations to dissappear.

As far as I can tell the header builder doesn’t work right. I cannot get the menu to show up.

    Hello,

We have created Header Templates to allow users to import some basic structure and there is no need to start from the scratch.
Have you watched the video tutorials? Have you used main menu element and choose what menu to show in element settings? Could you please provide WP Dashboard access to your site to check and help you?

    Regards

    Hello,

We have created header for you using the header builder. Check, please. Search by SKU works with a full SKU number http://prntscr.com/qf4lg9 and partial.

To speed up the search and your site:
    1) Disable all the plugins that you don’t use. Every additional plugin slows down the site.
    2) Use cache plugin (we installed W# total cache but you can choose any other you like)
    3) Reduce the server response time
    4) Make sure that DB structure is optimized.

    Hi Olga,

The Search is not as it was prior. When the focus was on the search it would fill the screen horizontally. Also when I type in the first three characters the search doesn’t give any results. Now it only gives results when the enter button is pressed.

    Hello,

Search (header builder) has new style http://prntscr.com/qh2vo4
Adding old (full width) design is in our task list. There is no possibility to change it, right now. Follow our changelog – https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/

Your footer is created using static block – http://prntscr.com/qh2yv7 , so I would recommend you to enable WPBakery Page Builder for static blocks http://prntscr.com/qh2z0k https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/wpbakery-page-builder/ , then the edit of the footer block will be easier.

It seems that you were logged in while I was working on the site. I have managed to fix teh footer. The subcontractor that I had hired hid your footer and used a different plugin. I fixed it all.

The AJAX search still doesn’t work for partial SKUs. When is this going to be fixed?

    Hello,

Provide us with link to product that you are trying to search using partial SKU but can’t. When we tried to search the products we did not face the issue.
