    Hi,

I am not quite sure this: if I build the product template or any page template in elementor, then do not use customizer to adjust their layout. Is that the case?

    Hello, @Rhett,

Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.

You are correct in your understanding that if a product template is constructed using Elementor, then adjustments to the layout via the customizer will not be effective. To make modifications, you will need to edit the product directly using Elementor.

It is also important to note that some theme options are compatible with both the Customizer and Elementor. Should you encounter any limitations while using Elementor, I recommend exploring the additional theme options available through the Customizer.

We hope you find this information useful. Should you require further assistance or have any more questions, please feel free to contact us at your convenience. We are always here to assist you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reply.

I saw all the elementor pro’s elements are active in local development. Can I use them in live site?

What elementor pro features are not available, please?

I saw in the account download “XStore – Installable Archive” and “XStore – Installable Archive”. What’s the difference?

    Hello, @Rhett,

    Thank you for your response.

Please navigate to Elementor > Status > Logs > Check if there are any fatal errors and fix them.

If no errors, contact your hosting provider and ask what can be done to speed up the site from their side.

Also, follow this article – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/troubleshooting/how-to-speed-up-my-website/

We hope this helps. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you.

    Dear @Rhett,

I hope this message finds you well. Upon reviewing the issues you have encountered, it appears that they are associated with the Elementor plugin, rather than our XStore theme. You can view the specific errors here: https://prnt.sc/RFnHlNO8g3Sd.

It is possible that the conflict arises from having both the Elementor PRO and PRO Elements plugins activated simultaneously on your local environment. We recommend that you deactivate the PRO Elements plugin while keeping the Elementor PRO plugin active.

If this configuration does not apply to your setup, we suggest testing the issue with a default theme, such as Hello Elementor or Storefront. This will help determine if the problem persists solely when the XStore theme is active. Should the issues continue with the default theme, we advise you to reach out to Elementor’s support team for further assistance.

Also, it is vital to admit that developing on local machines differs from the developing on real web-sites. Maybe you can try to disable Network connection on your device while building as it could prevent loading 3rd party sources (just as suggestion).

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We are here to assist you with any further inquiries.

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for response. I noticed an issue it’s the motion effect > sticky > top. With this feature on, when the page load, a duplicated container will show overlapping the header. Once I start scrolling, it will disappear. After trying default theme, this will not happen.

I tried turning off the pro elements or elementor pro, it will repeat.

    Best Regards,

    Rhett

    Dear @Rhett,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to inform you that utilizing motion effects on containers for headers may not be necessary, as we offer our own sticky effects that come with various combinations. For a comprehensive understanding of how to effectively use the sticky header, please refer to our documentation available at https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/new-xstore-header-builder-with-elementor/#eatures-gwnX12.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for reply and sharing the info.

I imported this demo site and modify from there: https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor2/luxury-jewelry/. Its header is built by new xstore header builder. I see there is a Xstore advanced sticky header plugin in the “plugins installer”. Is that an old header plugin?

Regarding the sticky issue I reported in last post, it’s not about header. It’s about a section in the middle. Please check the attached picture. The red frame “features” section is sticky in the column set in the “motion effects”, but it will create a duplicate on page loader and overlap the header, and disappear once I start to scroll. I “solved” it by setting a higher z-index on header and other sections above this features section to hide the duplicate. It’s only a makeshift.

    Best Regards,

    Rhett

    Dear @Rhett,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am pleased to inform you that most of our Elementor demos have been updated with the new Header Builder, which is based on Elementor builder. The specific demo you referred to is also included in these updates and utilizes the new builder.

For your reference, you can view the process of each demo import here: [Demo Import Process] https://prnt.sc/qqS76JJH6DCu.

Additionally, we have addressed a similar query regarding the XStore Advanced Sticky Header plugin in another discussion. You may find the detailed response helpful, which is available at the following link: [XStore Advanced Sticky Header Discussion] https://www.8theme.com/topic/xstore-advanced-sticky-header-doesnt-seem-to-work/#post-397479.

We are also delighted to hear that you have successfully implemented a z-index solution to address the issue of overlapping sections. While it is challenging to cover all potential scenarios, we truly appreciate your initiative and creativity in finding a workaround.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for your thorough response. I am happy with Xstore’s excellent aftersales response. Xstore’s ecommerce features are impressive. At present I am just a bit worried about the speed due to Elementor’s bloat output. I’ll keep working on this project and let you know once it’s done.

    Hi Rose,

Just did a fresh installation, only install the xstore theme, xstore core plugin, elementor free version and woocommerce, no demo content import. Click “customize” and find this error screen.

    Dear @Rhett,

I hope this message finds you well. We have noticed that the error you encountered is associated with the WooCommerce plugin, as indicated by the error path
    wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/customizer/class-wc-shop-customizer.php.
We recommend that you create at least one post and product, and then proceed with your modifications or disable the debug on your local web-site https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/.

To demonstrate that this issue is not related to our theme, we replicated your situation by deactivating the XStore Core plugin and activating the default WooCommerce theme, Storefront. We encountered the same warnings under these conditions. Therefore, we suggest that you submit a request for support on the WooCommerce forum at the following link: [WooCommerce Support Forum](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/).

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Hi Rose,

I have a question about the font setting. There are 2 places for global setting: customize and elementor’s site setting > font. Which way is recommended? and the differences?

Most blogs recommend local font for speed optimization. Should I upload the font via custom font?

    Kind Regards,

    Dear @Rhett,

Please submit new questions via separate threads – https://www.8theme.com/forums/xstore-wordpress-support-forum/

You need to select font in Theme Options, and via Elementor settings too https://prnt.sc/WGGPeh5TLtl- This is essential as different parts of the site utilize settings from both mentioned options.

Regarding your question about making fonts local on the server, yes, it is indeed possible. Hosting fonts locally can be beneficial for loading times and overall website performance.
XStore Control Panel -> Custom fonts, after you upload fonts you may select them in the list of Typography fonts (Theme Options -> Typography), and so on.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team
