VISUAL COMPOSER 4.7.4 - by Jose Noa - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    Hello , I received a recommendation from Visual Composer envato to update to the current version 4.7.4 . to correct a problem .
    I followed the steps , but I get errors qque not find a way to solve.
    I need help please.

    Hello Jose Noa,

    please download Visual Composer from our plugin downloads section here: http://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/
    After that update using Dashboard or FTP and let us know results.

    Well, I’ve done carefully FTP installation of pluguin Visual Composer. Now there are no errors , the web gets its contents, but in the Dashboard I can not do EDIT http://prntscr.com/8qjyyu
    Any help please .

    I received an email from yourselves, informing me that I need to do an update of the Visual Composer plugin for the Royal Theme as there were security issues. I have installed the new Visual Composer plugin, but the site will not let me update any copy or imagery on the site now. It will not let me do this on the backend of the site or in the front end in visual composer.

    Can you please help urgently, as I need to make some urgent updates.

    I have the exact same problem, i can’t edit anything. buttons won’t work.

    Hello @lornacrow,

    Please update the theme to the latest version.
    Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/royal/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
    Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

    Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!


    (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    I’ve just install royal from scratch. New wordpress install – new royal install. Now I have problems with the visual composer 4.7.4. Nothing is working – and I get these errors:

    Uncaught ReferenceError: vc is not defined
    media-editor.js:381 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘on’ of undefined
    composer-custom-views.js:1045 Uncaught TypeError: string.replace is not a function

    have you tried editing any posts/pages. The edit (pencil) function does not work at all.

    Is backend editor working fine? Are you able to add elements in the backend editor?
    Please check it in different browsers.

    Hi, Thanks for your information of how to reinstall new version of the royal theme. I just have a few concerns before I upload the new royal theme. I have had a developer make a lot of amends to the template and they have create a child theme. I am just concerned that I could loss all this work. I will do a back up, but will the installing be different for me as I have customised the template?
    are there any other things that I need to do?

    For deleting the woocommece before i upload the new theme. Can that be done in wordpress admin where the plugin are? Or does it have to be done in the back end directory? Also just to confirm, that the new royal theme come with woocommerce and i don’t need to reinstall it?

    Hello @lornacrow,

    If your developers made all changes only in the child theme then you won’t lose anything, because you’ll update only parent theme, not the child one.

    No, it can’t be done there, you should remove “woocommerce” folder in the theme directory wp-content/themes/woopress, not in the plugins directory.

    You don’t need to reinstall Woocommerce plugin.

    It works from my cell Phone when not using wifi. It also works on my mac/pc when surfing via my cell phone. Is the Visual Composer using any off-site calls on a server that block ip addresses ?

    As we know there is no such option in Visual Composer, but you may clarify it with VC authors.
