I recently updated my website to WP 4.5.3 version, but I think Visual Composer is no longer compatible with the theme, because it keeps asking me for the license key. Can one of your support staff please upload the newest VC plugin in order to see if this fixes the problem?

Thank you, I downloaded Visual Composer v 4.12 and installed it, but it did not fix the problem. I cannot edit with VC. The screen just turns white and it looks like it’s trying to open VC, but nothing ever happens.

I was able to connect via FTP but couldn’t open any file getting the error:
“Error: Connection timed out”.

Please check with hosting provider if there are any issues on your server.

Hi, we contacted GoDaddy and they can’t find any issue and we cannot re-create the error you are seeing here either? Were you eventually able to login? It seems to be working and I’m not sure it’s because I removed and uploaded the newest Visual Composer or because you were eventually able to login and fix the issue. Does it need to be activated? I see this message now: “Hola! Would you like to receive automatic updates and unlock premium support? Please activate your copy of Visual Composer.” Why is there a blue button there now that says: “Activate Visual Composer”. Shouldn’t it already be activated?

Hello,

There is no need to activate plugins.

All plugins are external extensions which are included into theme because for each product we purchase “Extended license” and that’s why we are able to include it into them. This plugin works fine without activation and you can always get actual version if you want directly from us. The plugins can be downloaded from this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ . We update plugins with theme updates from time to time so plugins will be also updated with each next theme update. The option with registering of the plugins has been already added to plugin and this only allows you to get automatic updates and support for this plugin directly from an author if you need. You don’t need to register this product because it is not required but if you want to get those features, then you need to purchase this plugin directly from the author. This is how it works for all themes on Themeforest and not only in our case.
