Hi, I’m using your “Product” slider VC element to display products on a page.. the products are shown as per their category ID as you can see here..

    http://lamuseboutique.com/swiss-new-wave-of-fashion-designers/

    HOWEVER

On my WPML-managed-and-translated page (same page but in French) I have the exact same content except of course I had to change the ID’s of the categories for each slider to be displayed, since the matching categories are given a different ID by WPML for each language. And on that page the products do not get displayed.

I am pretty sure it is not a WPML issue as I tried a third party plugin that is also able to pull WooCommerce elements by ID categories for display.. and it works fine.

    Any idea ?

    THX

    Hello,

    Sorry for a delay.
As you’re using French language for the translation, apostrophes are used there (for example this word DÉJÀ). This may create a conflict in scripts. We recommend you to replace apostrophes with special symbols http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    ?!?? Nope. Meep. Wrong answer.

I’m not using any such symbols in any url/taxonomy/permalink.. And I don’t see how that is related to my issue.. which is an issue pulling the ID code from the FR version, and that code is a number anyway..

So my take is that you did not even bother to take a real look at all at my site and just gave me a generic answer that popped in one your developer’s mind because he/she saw the word FRENCH.

I need you to really login and really look at the issue I’ve exposed.. if you want to be of any help to me

Hello anyone ? This is sad because I like this “Products” VC element of yours, but if I can only use it in one language.. then I cannot really use it :0(

NO IT IS NOT FIXED, let us try again:
    _____________________________________

    1:
    Go here:
    https://lamuseboutique.com/fr/8theme-troubleshoot/
You’ll see sliders BUT THEY ARE NOT YOURS… They are created by another plugin.

    2:
Go to my website (you have the back-end login info for that) so you can look at that same page from the backend and notice that everywhere I placed your Product plugin they do NOT SHOW, the sliders do not display anything in the front-end.

    3:
I just put the sliders from the other plugin as well to make you understand that your VC Product plugin does not work on my site on a secondary language (works fine in the primary one).. but that the categories used to pull and display DO EXIST AND CAN WORK in the secondary language since another plugin can make them appear correctly without issues.

Does this make more sense ?

“Also please provide us with the correct login details”

Ok,I changed the login since the AMPERSAND symbol causes issues on this forum
    ___________

PS: Now I know that you never even logged in, no wonder you could not understand the issue LoL Why did you wait all this time to even bring that up ?!!

Hi, all my widgets and footer widgets were deleted, I imagine your devs did this as no-one has access to the them apart from me and I have not logged in until now. Not cool :0(

PS: If your devs feel they need to do such drastic things (as expressed above.. deleting widgets etc) they should email right away ! Or put things back the way they were before intervening. I would have not noticed if I had not gone visit the site today, and thank god my client did not see it I guess or I would have heard about it.

I imagine this will be also included in the next update of the theme ? I won’t have to re-add it manually ?

Back to square one more or less.. I’m getting a bit (a lot actually) tired of this :0(

    Look at this page:
    https://lamuseboutique.com/swiss-new-wave-of-fashion-designers/

I’m supposed to have a different category for each slider (for each slider I entered the corresponding code for a single category under “Categories IDs”) yet as you can see all sliders are actually displaying the newest products it seems.. have no idea why this is doing this, but it the sliders are definitely NOT taking into account the ID entered whatsoever !!!

You really do have an issue with those “Products” sliders that needs to bee looked into.. THIS IS URGENT, my client and I are becoming increasingly tired of this theme. REALLY !!!

PS:On the front landing page, the slider at bottom works fine:
    https://lamuseboutique.com/

BUT it does not rely on a category ID, it relies on the “sale” category. However I really need to be able to make any type of product ID categories work as well. Extremely important for our site !!! And I imagine for all your other users. So please fix this ASAP..THX

PS: You already have the back-end login info higher in this thread.. but PELASE do not deactivate any plugins. I’m certain it’s an issue with your theme at 99% so no need to look for an issue with other plugins (You can take a look just to prove to you what I am saying: yes I entered a different ID in each slider).

I think it’s an issue with WPML WooCommerce Multilingual this time, it just got updated and is messing categories up.. I get the same issue with another plugin :0(
