Visual Composer Text Box broken after 2.1 update

    Hi. I just updated to Legenda 2.1 and noticed that the Visual Composer “Text Block” box is not functioning properly after the update.

    The first thing I noticed was that the Text was showing up with a white on white style, making it hard/impossible to read.

    Then I realized that the Visual Tab seems to be broken completely, which may be what is causing the second item.

    I have tried deactivating all plugins and reinstalling the 2.1 update, but the results are the same, and the Text/HTML box within Visual Composer is broken.

    Is this just me, or is there a fix for this?

    Hello,

    There is a bug in the theme for VC. Our developers are working on it. The issue should be fixed in the next update.

    Short codes have also stopped working because of this issue. Iv been looking round the internet and it seems to be an issue with the Visual Editor and TinyMCE

    Could you please provide us with the links where shortcodes aren’t working?
    Also please send FTP and admin panel credentials to us for checking.

    Hi Eva,

    Short codes are working where I put them in before the update. But if I try and add a short code in now it won’t work. I think its the Rich Text editor that’s not working correctly when your in the visual editor.

    If a page is using the visual editor and I add a rich text box I just see a the add media button thats not working and the Visual and Text buttons.

    In the visual the sample text can’t be seen. Its set to white. In the Text version you see the code as normal and the <p>I am text block. Click edit button to change this text.</p> bit is there as normal.

    If I add a short code her it won’t work. If I click the media button the upload doesn’t work and nothing is shown.

    Hello,

    There is a problem of incompatibility of 2 shortcodes on the page. If [advps-slideshow optset=”6″] works, then [sabai-directory-slider] doesn’t work.
    You should contact the plugins developer regarding this issue.

    The update of Legenda theme will be released in a week or so.
    The bug with VC will be fixed there.

    Thanks for having a look at the site. I will have a chat with the plugin developer and see if there is another way to get there short code into the page.

    Hi.

    Can you tell me where I can download the version of this theme which is previous to 2.1? Out site has been uneditable with VC since the update and it’s keeping us from getting anything done.

    Hi. I downloaded and reinstalled v2.0, and then tried v1.9 which I was able to dig up.

    Trying to rollback this way did not correct the problem with VC and editable text boxes. The broken state of the popup editor box persisted.

    Is there something else I need to uninstall?

    Any update on the theme update release? I also notice that the WooCommerce templates are out of date too.

    Hi. Now that your theme includes Visual Composer as a plugin, will the plugin updates only come with theme updates? OR are those available separately?

    I notice that WP is telling me Visual Composer version 4.1.3 is out, but I can’t update to it…

    Hello,

    New version of VC plugin will be produced with the theme update. Or you can buy license key for VC plugin yourself and update it before our new theme release.
