Sorry if it’s a meaningless question I am kinda new to this. But I have two options either I go with a Shared Hosting or I use a VPS I already have both purchased for my previous project. For now I have it installed it on the shared hosting and working fine (although an occasional 503 error is seen during opening multiple elementor tabs).

    So my question is
    1. Will it be wise to shift to VPS where I have to manage all the security, and maintenance or I stick with the current Shared Hosting option.

    2. The occasional Stutter is due to me opening multiple Tabs of the site with Elementor or is it due to the server lagging

    Specs:

    Shared Hosting:
    Disk
    2.48 GB / 30 GB (8.26%)
    Physical Memory
    79.67 MB / 1 GB (7.78%)
    Entry Processes
    1 / 20 (5%)
    Number of Processes
    1 / 100 (1%)

    VPS:
    4 Core
    8 GB Ram

    Thanks in advance!!! : )

    Hello, theghostin,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions. We’re here to help, and there’s no such thing as a meaningless question, especially when you’re making decisions about your hosting environment!

Moving to a VPS does offer more control over your environment, which includes managing security and maintenance. This can be a significant advantage if you require specific configurations or if you anticipate scaling up your resources quickly. Given that you already own a VPS, this could be a wise choice if you are comfortable managing these aspects or if you can access technical support when needed. On the other hand, staying with your current shared hosting is more straightforward if you prefer not to handle the technical management. It’s also worth considering the occasional 503 errors you mentioned; these could potentially be mitigated by the increased resources and control a VPS offers.

We hope this helps you make an informed decision. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
