WebP files format - by Peter - on WordPress WooCommerce support

Hi, Does the template support WebP image files?
All websites based on the template have very poor optimization results and I am looking for a solution to this problem.
Google suggests changing image files to WebP format.

Hello, Peter,

Our customers sometimes install a separate plugin and use such a format (either regenerated old images to a new one or immediately took such a one) – they did not complain.

However, with this format, emails do not display images very well – https://www.caniemail.com/search/?s=Webp (provided our builder or cross/app sales display in the letter)

Therefore, you can use this format at your discretion.
