Website breaks when we try to update the Theme

    Hi there,

    It’s been about a month that we’ve been trying to update the Theme, via wp-admin and via FTP but each time it breaks the site, so we just restore it from a backup.

    Can you please help?

    Hello,

    What exactly problem did you get after theme update? Please provide us with temporary FTP access also.

    Hello,

    Please, check the FTP credentials that you provided, we can’t connect to your server using that login and pass.

    Also, tell me what error do you get after the update?

    We are sorry, someone had changed the Password.
    We didn’t check the error last time we tried to update the theme, we focused on restoring the site from backup, as the client gets upset when he sees it down.

    Hello,

    Our FTP user does not have permission to change files or copy the new one. We can’t update the theme and check what exactly is wrong. Please, change the user permissions and reply back.

    You’re welcome!
    There was a conflict with Import plugin, we have added information about the error to our task list to fix it in next theme update and prevent this problem in future.

    We have another problem. Empty product categories don’t show in Menu editor, so that we add them to the menu. Please let us know if it’s caused by the theme.

    Make sure you enabled Products categories in Screen Options http://prntscr.com/ji28eh

    We have, but the empty ones don’t show on the list, not even when we search for them to add them.

    Hi,
    One of the categories I can’t find, is Γυναικεία Μποτάκια. It’s an empty subcategory.
    I can’t find it in search, is what I mean.

    Search settings you can find in Theme Options > AJAX Search.

    Thanks for the screenshot. You are right, this search works only for not empty categories. This independent of theme, and works in the same way with a default theme, so it can’t be changed from our side.
    I would recommend you to click on View all http://prntscr.com/jikq10 to be able to check all categories and find the required one.

    Hi,
    We tried to update the theme again to the newest version and we lost the Add to cart buttons as well as the options in products. Could you please tell us what to do, assuming you know, since this has happened last time we tried too and you fixed it?

    No, but we’re using the plugin Improved Product Attributes and we believe this is what’s causing the problem. We’re in contact with author and if we have news concerning the theme, we will let you know. Thank you.
