    Hello,

In a previous thread I asked for assistance with the banner layout on the homepage, as it wasn’t displaying correctly.

    Prior to this change:

whenever I used the elementor builder, the changes I made would only change settings that I had changed myself. (nothing else would just randomly change). I have been making changes on a step by step basis from the start, saving the page as I go, and I have never encountered this glitch UNTIL there banner was modified (in there last request) now elementor doesn’t work properly. ONE small change = lots of mess everywhere.

After this change: I cannot edit anything on the home page. One small change results in a huge mess-up on the home page. lot off things disappear and dont appear correctly when ONE small change is made.

Ive attached screenshots. The first two show how the page should look.

Next two Images, show the complete disaster that results from changing any setting within elementor. The only setting that was changed in this instance was the blog posts were changed to “align center”. once changes are submitted the whole home page is destroyed as a result.

I have been building they page for some time and have enough experience doing so to tell you that this is a problem/glitch that has started happening only AFTER the banner area was modified in the previous request. Elementor has been very stable and has only changed EXACTLY what I request. However, since this banner was modified (in the other request) the home page is not able to have any changes made to it without it being essentially dismantled when changes are submitted.

I am explaining this as best as I can. It is not a server issue. I know how to reset cache, its not cache related. The only thing that is different now, and in all the time ive been making the page, is that it was accessed by someone else in the previous thread and now the home page is having issues with elementor.

If that description is not enough to understand the issue, then I will restore from backup again, provide a video showing you exactly how it happens from my point off view, its definately not right and as I mentioned, has only started happening AFTER the scope of the last request was modified by the 2nd admin which I provided access to. No other changes were made at the same time by any other person.

    Ive attached a scene recording.

Website was restored from the backup made just after the home page banner area (mid page) was modified in the previous thread. There’s nothing else that was done at the same time, I am, the only other person with access and was strictly supposed to be finishing my home page using elementor, the theme was being changed step-by-step, no modifications were being made my myself, only the change of colours, backgrounds and images, no other complex settings were being modified at the same Time, no widgets or sections were being added by myself at this time. The issue mentioned in the previous thread that was then modified as a result is the only major thing that has changed, and is solely responsible for this glitch.

In the video, You can see the method I have used from the beginning to implant the changes I want, to bring this them from the demo theme to my own theme and colours, no other modifications, its why I choose the theme because the layout was perfect for my project and would not require any modification, just simple adjustments of what was already provided.

I have stuck to this method since the beginning, and if something isn’t right, I go back, and this is why I am saying that the issue I am experiencing is a result of the modification to the home page (previous thread). If the problem was related to any changes I made previously, then I would have encountered it already, and already reverted back. This problem has only manifested AFTER the changes were made in the previous thread.

Hope this helps you understand it better and to resolve this problem that has manifested because unfortunately I have not made any progress on it today and cannot move forward until its resolved.

Essentially all I am asking for is a home page that looks and behaves how the demo implies. And it still needs to be modifiable by myself using elementor without dismantling itself when any change is made.

Just to clarify, the issue is still occurring. I am unable to continue making changes to my site due to this. I am going to restore from an earlier back up, and lose days of work prior to when 8theme made the changes to my website, so that I can continue to edit. When you are able to provide me a solution for adding this banner area (as the demo them shows) without malfunctioning my home page please respond as it it urgent and no problems were happening with the builder prior to 8theme making changes . thanks

    Second video attached.

Website is restored from backup PRIOR to the changes made my 8theme (priovious thread).

As you can see, when I scroll down the page, the banner area that I asked to be fixed originally, is now broken is again. (due to back up being before changes were made).

As you can see, when I use elementor and make a single change (demonstrated in the same way as video 1) the website DOES NOT dismantle itself upon submission of changes.

This glitch is a result of the changes made to my home page by 8theme in the previous thread.

    I have undone all changes.

Please ensure that this doesn’t happen again when the banner is added. and please confirm with me when changes are being made PRIOR to doing them, so I can take a backup and minimise loss when. something like this goes wrong. over 24 hours I have had to deal with this glitch and cannot move forward until resolved

    UPDATE:

I have resolved this issue myself. My initial request was to fix the banner area.

The response I got was :

    1. We would like to clarify that we have not made any changes or modifications to your website, except for inserting pre-built banners using XStudio.

This change you mentioned “except for inserting pre-built banners using XStudio” caused a major glitch on this theme and had to be revered back to before it was done.

    How I resolved the issue:

Reverting back to backup, prior to 8themes access. Adding images to the banner placeholders which already existed. Once the background images were added, the banner area began displaying correctly.

“except for inserting pre-built banners using XStudio.” Created a huge glitch, next time, backups will be taken before anymore here modifies my site. When you have access in future, do not make any changes until you have confirmed that

    A: I am online.

B: I have backed up prior to you making changes.

Hopefully we have no more issues and if I encounter an error it can be resolved fast without people trying to deny responsibility for errors. Thanks

Ive also attached two images for reference.

When I asked for the banner area to be fixed, and I review the response “except for inserting pre-built banners using XStudio.” you can clearly see from the picture that it wasn’t done right.

1 Image shows the layout after “except for inserting pre-built banners using XStudio.” its still a mess. Layout and spacing is all over the place and very untidy.

the other image shows “how it should look” (how the theme suggest) and quite clearly the layout is perfect now.

The website now looks how it should. Dont make any changes. Review the videos I sent you to better understand the error you made. Thanks

Im not looking to turn anything off and like I explained I had undone this and rebuilt it again without any errors, so there’s no need for me to change any settings based on that advise.
