Hi,
We have installed new Xstore theme. But the speed is very slow. Can you help in making it fast or suggest some steps we can take to speed up the website.
We have installed Wp-Rocket Plugin. The GT Metrix Reports shows “F”
Hello Zeal Evince,
We have conducted a test of your website on GTMetrix and the result was a C with 65%. The URL of the report is provided below:
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/zealevince.com/N3ZPMe71/
Based on the GTmetrix report, there are several issues that could be addressed to improve the speed of your website. Here are some suggestions:
1. Optimize images: Your report shows that there are several images on your website that are not optimized. Large image files can slow down your website’s load time, so it’s important to compress them. You can use an image optimization tool to compress your images without sacrificing quality.
2. Leverage browser caching: Your report suggests that your website could benefit from leveraging browser caching. This means that you can instruct the browser to store certain files on the user’s computer so that they don’t have to be downloaded every time someone visits your website. This can significantly speed up your website.
3. Minimize HTTP requests: Your report shows that your website is making too many HTTP requests. This means that the browser has to make multiple requests to the server to load all the necessary resources, which can slow down your website. To reduce the number of HTTP requests, you can combine multiple files into a single file or use a content delivery network (CDN) to serve static files.
4. Reduce server response time: Your report suggests that your website’s server response time could be improved. This means that the time it takes for the server to respond to a request from the browser is too long. To reduce server response time, you can optimize your server’s configuration or switch to a faster hosting provider.
5. Enable compression: Your report suggests that your website could benefit from enabling compression. Compression reduces the size of files before they are sent over the network, which can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for your website to load. You can enable compression by using Gzip or another compression tool.
By addressing these issues, you can significantly improve the speed of your website and achieve a GTmetrix score of 90 or higher.
We wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,
8Theme’s Team
Hi,
Thanks for the revert. But in our case backend is working smooth. But frontend crashes or loads very slowly. Also when we activate Wp rocket the the website simply doesn’t load. The CPU reaches 100%, physical memory of server and entry process also reaches its limits.
Can you please check from back end what might be the cause..
please find login details in private area.
Hello, Zeal Evince,
Thank you for your response.
1/ We can see js errors from different plugins on your site. You have a lot of plugins activated. Please check descriptions of every plugin and disable plugins you do not really use because every additional plugin slows down the site a bit.
For example, disable YITH WooCommerce Compare and YITH WooCommerce Wishlist and use our own functionality from Theme Options > WooCommerce https://youtu.be/ZyjZ-vCx0pE
2/ Your problem when WP Rocket plugin is activated can be caused by incompatibility with a 3rd party plugin. Please do a test to check it – disable all third-party plugins that are not bundled with XStore. You can refer to the following link for a list of included plugins: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/ , and check how it works then.
We use Rocket on our demos without problems.
3/ You need to optimize images https://tinypng.com/ and follow this article also – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/troubleshooting/how-to-speed-up-my-website/
4/ We’ve enabled Lazy loading in settings or Products elements on your Home page – https://prnt.sc/v0xJ_h5dWgJZ
Kind Regards,
