What is the ajax preload option, I need to update the sidebar on my WooCommerce Category Page but the sidebar options are not visible. My page is showing a blank area for the sidebar but not showing any widget there.
Kindly Help.
Thanks & Regards
Hello,
Thanks for using our theme.
Theme Options > General > Enable Classic Widgets Panel > On. Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Shop area , for example – https://prnt.sc/k3_pn2BI_dA1
If this is not what you are looking for, provide temporary wp-admin access and describe your request in more detail.
Regards
I have checked that all the options are ON, and in widgets ajax preloader is also checked. My problem was that the widgets which I have selected are not showing up on the woo commerce category page.
Check it here:
https://nimb.ws/bE45TW
https://nimb.ws/W45gvX
The blank area which I am talking about is shown in the below screenshot
https://nimb.ws/dsKiXF
It’s showing Only one widget, the rest of them are not showing.
Can you please help me out with how can I add sidebar on to my Woo Commerce category page?
One more issue is that whatever changes we are making on our dashboard is not visible quickly on the frontend, we have cleared all the cache files from the dashboard and from CDN as well. Also, we are working by keeping development mode ON from CDN, still, the changes are not reflected.
Kindly answer all my queries and please help.
Hello,
1) Enable sidebar for the shop page https://gyazo.com/195426777321d2de9ad068d0837af729 (Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop > Shop page layout) if you want to show the sidebar with filters there. Check wemeestore shop page now. If you have problem with another site then provide us with link.
2) Could you, please, tell me what exactly do you change? Because I don’t see problem while trying to change something.
Regards
We have already checked all the settings and are the same as you are saying, check it here https://nimb.ws/4neMdw
And the change which I mentioned was about any changes on our website design just for example I need to change my product page look, add some filters on the page or simply edit the header of website, those changes are not visible on our site.
Also the sidebar changes as well.
Hello,
I see that you changed the password and I can’t log in or check your site. Could you, please, provide us with the correct WP Dashboard if you need any help with settings?
I see the home page on your screenshot, not the shop page. So, don’t you have the sidebar on the shop page? Or do you want to enable sidebar on the home page?
Do you want to change the shop page layout or single product page layout?
You can edit the header from Theme Options > header builder. But zoom out your window because I see that you have a small resolution and it displays the mobile header preview instead of the desktop header preview.
Regards
Hello team,
Actually why it is creating confusion is because we have named our home page as shop page and that screenshot was of the homepage only. We don’t want to enable the sidebar on the homepage but we want to show it on the pages where we have listed our products i.e., the categories page like the YOUTH MOTIVATION, DESI MOTIVATION, etc.
Now, the issue which we are facing is we have tried to enable sidebar the sidebar on these pages, we have tried with shop sidebar and custom sidebar as well and now we tried with the main sidebar.
First we go to edit page>> 8 theme layout options>> sidebar position>>left>> widget area>> main sidebar/custom sidebar>> and sidebar width>> inherit
so on that page, a sidebar blank area is created but widgets that I add into that sidebar are not visible, but only categories and search widget are visible, we tried enabling attributes filter but it’s not visible, we enabled ajax filter, still not visible.
When the page is opened in the customizer, the edit options in a pencil shape appear but nothing is visible. Even the categories filter when applied doesn’t show any categories in the dropdown.
Below I have attached videos for your reference to more clearly understand what I want to say or ask you. All that we want is to enable a sidebar on our product category pages.
Kindly, help us out with this.
Thanks & Regards

Hello,
1) You removed the shop page https://gyazo.com/404d658edbdf7cde494c9f7bd67e0d7d But it’s a required page for the WooCommerce if you want to sell products, so I set it back https://gyazo.com/0d5cc9dbe251c01e7cb252c7598764fb
2) If you don’t see the filter by attribute (by color for example) it’s because products that you have in that category do not have attributes that you added filter by. I see that you have a lot of colors attributes for example https://gyazo.com/e330c92d9e55e7635233b374dcc67be3 but added the only one filter by attribute. Add them all to your sidebar and you’ll see them. Or optimize your attributes to avoid duplication of the attributes. Then I don’t see problem with the filters, check the link in the private content.
Regards
1) I understand that its required to set that page, but our issue is we don’t have a single page to show all the products. We have made different pages according to categories and each category have different products listed we cannot mix them into one, check-in the screenshot below.
https://gyazo.com/1b4c942283018d47c5bd374814606114
2) Now, the filters that I want to add are visible on the page that I set as the shop page, for e.g., I set the DESI MOTIVATION page as SHOP PAGE & added filters to it, then they are visible from SHOP SIDEBAR, but the same filters are not visible on any other page apart from SHOP.
3) We need to add all these filters in our category pages as shown in the above screenshot, kindly let me know how I can add a sidebar to all these pages, I tried using a custom sidebar for that but still, filters are not visible.
4) Again one unnecessary search bar is visible on our site, I am not able to remove it and I don’t know from where it got activated. Kindly remove that. Check the below screenshot for reference.
https://i.gyazo.com/576eb70a01ea80c56ff9579e34d731ec.jpg
Kindly help me to bring a sidebar on the pages apart from the shop page set because I can’t set only one page there.
Hello,
1) – 3) WooCommerce does not display the default filter widgets in the sidebar of the simple page. Filter widgets display only on the WooCommerce archive pages like product categories, shop, product tags, product brands. So, add links to your product categories for the banners you made instead of creating simple pages for that. Or look for the filter plugin that allows adding filters even for the simple pages.
4) You enabled sidebar for that page, that’s why you see the default search widget that displays in the main default sidebar. Edit that page and disable sidebar in the 8theme page settings > Sidebar position > Without. If you want to change the content of the default sidebar go to Appearance > Widgets > the Main sidebar > add an empty text widget to remove default content of the sidebar or add any other widget that you would like to show there.
Regards
Ok we now got your point, thanks for the help.
1) But tell me how to edit the category page layout and design, I want to design that page according to me.
2) Also, how to add banners in the breadcrumbs area such that it will look proper in both mobile and desktop view
3) What is the use of custom sidebars then and where and how to use it kindly specify.
Thanks
Hello,
1/ Products category page inherits the layout of Shop page, all available settings you can find in Theme Options > WooCommerce.
2/ Create static blocks then add shortcodes of them into Category description area, for example – https://prnt.sc/21yt5f2 Select “Shop Page Banner Position” in Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop > Shop page layout
3/ Here is an example just for demo – https://prnt.sc/KrgHpd-iRmCT > https://prnt.sc/fu4N6rpb4doE
Regards
Ok thank you for your support, I understood.
I want to ask one more thing, below I am attaching one screenshot, kindly check that we need sticky filters like that in mobile mode, how to bring them, and where to set them.
Please explain briefly
Thanks & Regards
Hello,
We don’t have option to display filters and sort by option in this way.
Additional customization required to implement this. You can submit additional customization request here.
Regards
1) Ok, so we need to buy a developer package for this type of customization, correct!
2) Also, if you can see after FILTERS options in our filters, the DEFAULT SORTING option is visible, from where it gets added, please share. How can I customize it?
3) Check this screenshot, https://i.gyazo.com/3be26a43c38dc35c583f4c3a9fd66941.png in our desktop mode both the filters are arranged to close in one corner and are not looking good. Please let me know how to change its width.
Thanks & Regards
Hello,
1) It’s not a developer package. We just are unable to provide support for customizations under our Support Policy https://themeforest.net/page/item_support_policy
So, if you need additional customization you may contact our partners who provide this service or find any other developer who will be able to implement that for you. Or look for the third-party plugin that has such option.
2) Default sorting option is the default WooCommerce feature. You can choose the default sorting in Customizer > WooCommerce > Product catalog > Default sorting. WooCommerce does not have any other options to customize that.
3) We display elements one by one https://gyazo.com/7b3999f089bfeac511d4e444d37b452e
How would you like to align them there? Provide us with the mockup of the layout that you want to achieve there.
Regards
OK Thanks a lot for the help.
Hello,
You are welcome.
