I saw in the above mentioned plugin reports, the above mentioned plugins are compatible for higher version php. Now its important to ask for your advise if the theme core plugin and xstore theme will be compatible with these plugins and with higher php version.
Please guide me about to upgrade to the most suitable php version without any risk.
Thank you.

Rana
Hello, Rana,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your query regarding the PHP version upgrade for your website.
We understand the importance of keeping your site’s technology up to date for performance and security reasons. Based on the plugins you have listed, it appears that they are compatible with higher PHP versions, which is a good starting point.
For our XStore theme and core plugin, we continuously work to ensure compatibility with the latest technologies, including newer PHP versions. As of our latest updates, our theme and core plugin should be fully compatible with PHP versions up to 8.0. However, we always recommend performing a full backup of your website before making any significant changes, such as updating the PHP version.
To ensure a smooth transition, you may want to consider the following steps:
1. Create a staging environment – this is a clone of your live site where you can test the new PHP version without affecting your live site.
2. Update all themes and plugins to their latest versions on the staging site.
3. Switch the PHP version on the staging site to the version you wish to upgrade to, such as PHP 8.0, or even 8.1 if all components are confirmed compatible.
4. Thoroughly test your site on the staging environment, checking all functionalities and plugins for any issues.
5. If everything works as expected, you can then apply the PHP version upgrade on your live site.
Regarding the choice between ‘Ultrafast’ or ‘Standard’ PHP, this typically refers to the PHP handler and optimization level provided by your hosting service. ‘Ultrafast’ PHP setups often use additional performance optimizations and can lead to faster execution times. However, compatibility should be the same between ‘Ultrafast’ and ‘Standard’ as long as the PHP version is the same.
We advise consulting with your hosting provider to understand the specific benefits and any additional considerations that may come with their ‘Ultrafast’ PHP offering.
Should you encounter any issues or have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to assist you.

Siteground’s default php version is going to be 8.2. I switched my site from 7.4 to 8.2. But whole website went down because of the Core plugin. See screenshot.
Kindly reply me honestly, if your team is going to work on this issue to make xstore theme more faster and compatible with a modern php versions.
Please see the screenshot voor de caused issues.

Hello, Rana,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns with us. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the compatibility issue with PHP 8.2.
We are indeed actively working on updating our XStore theme to support PHP version 8.2+. Our development team is dedicated to ensuring that our theme not only supports the latest PHP versions but also benefits from the enhanced performance and security features they offer.
We plan to release the updated version as soon as it is thoroughly tested and ready for deployment. In the meantime, we recommend using PHP version 8.1, as it is currently the most stable version supported by our theme.
We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Please rest assured that we are committed to resolving this issue promptly and will keep you updated on our progress.
Best Regards,
The 8Theme Team
