White bars after placing products in shopping cart

    Hi, I have a question about a problem that I cannot find myself. When I add something to the shopping cart in my shop from the category page, a white bar appears on either side of the page that also covers the shopping cart on the left (see example). This does not happen when I add a product to the cart from a product page (see example 2). I don’t know why the white bars appear and whether they have a function and/or can be turned off?

    Hi Rose, is it possible that a colleague of yours also reads this topic and has tested it? I didn’t make any changes to my site today. I only took screenshots for this topic and after submitting my site suddenly looks completely different. Not only is the header completely different. The category pages are also completely different from how I had designed them… At the moment, two wide white bars are continuously shown on either side, which also overlap the footer at the bottom. I haven’t adjusted that.

    Hi, my comment about you guys being working on my site turned out to be caused by a colleague who happened to be testing at the time. Apologies for this.

    However, the problem I started this topic for is still there. To make it clear, I have shared a screen recording, the link of which can be found via the private content area.

    As you can see, when you add a product to the shopping cart from a category page, the page is filled on the left and right with a strange white bar. The contents of the shopping cart are then not visible, which is annoying.

    If you place the same product in the shopping cart from the product page, the shopping cart will only be shown on the left with the contents as it should be.

    Earlier in this topic I shared the login details with you in the private area content. This should allow you to view both the backend and the frontend and reproduce the problem yourself. I hope you can indicate what is going wrong here and how to fix it. Thank you in advance.

    The first step in resolving an issue is to replicate it on your site. However, we have not been able to observe the problem and have attached a video as evidence. Please take a moment to review the video https://gyazo.com/0abc29a690e2f031c76e3751a28e238c . We are using the Chrome browser for our tests. Could you please inform us which browser you are using? Additionally, do you encounter the same issue when viewing our demos?

    Hi Rose, thank you for your quick response. I see in the video that it seems to work as it should for you. I made a new video (see private content area). I’m using Safari and it seems that something is not working properly in combination with the theme. Do you want/can you reproduce the error in Safari?

    Hi Rose, I can also say that I do not experience the problem when I view one of your demo sites (for example Electronic Mega Market). In that demo the shopping cart is shown on the left in the menu, but that may not be so relevant?

    We’ve fixed this issue by adding this custom CSS under XStore > Theme Options > Theme Custom CSS > Global CSS:

    The white bars issue has gone. Could you please clear the cache and check again?

    Hi Luca, it seems to work. However there is a short “flash” of the white bars in my browser (safari) when I put a product in the basket. Not very disturbing but visible.
