Hi,
I’m using Loco Translate plugin to translate my website, but I can’t find some terms. Most of them are related to Wishlist and some concerns Shopping Cart.
I looked for them in both WooCommerce and XStore translation files, but I’m not able to find them.
Where all those terms can be found? (see screenshots)
Thanks!

Hello @LWK,
We have set up the new language translation files of the Theme and Core plugin for you on your site. Most of the words you referred to have already been translated on your site, and for the rest you can translate them as per your requirements into the Theme and Core plugin language files here:
Please refer to the screenshots provided below.

In order to customize the text for the search bar, please navigate to Xstore >> Theme Options >> Header Builder >> Search. You can then change the text as per your requirements. Please refer to the screenshot below for further guidance: https://postimg.cc/WhKkprsr
We hope this helps.

VERY URGENT!!!!!!
Wow wow wow, no no no! This is absolutely not what I asked for!
You modified many translations I already set and that were already good.
You cannot do this!
My client is actually consulting his website and this is not good.
I don’t have time to check every page, so please tell me which terms you exactly modified??
Another thing: by your changes, many terms of the administration have been modified too and translated to “some French”, but the translation is a complete nightmare!! I don’t need this! Some terms, as “Chapelure” to translate “Breadcrumbs” are completely crazy and this can’t stay like this.
Could you please set back everything like it was and ONLY ASK MY INITIAL QUESTION about terms that can’t be found in the translation files!?
Thanks!
Hello @LWK,
We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We have done our best to help you.
Let me explain the situation. You requested a translation of your website, and upon inspection, we found that your theme language files were only 7% translated in Loco. We then downloaded the language files of the Theme and Core plugin from our support site: https://www.8theme.com/glotpress/projects/xstore/ and replaced your translation files of the theme in the wp-content/languages/loco/themes folder. This solved the translation issues you reported.
We also provided you with a URL from which you can translate or modify words as needed.
We understand that you are not satisfied with the result and the 7% translation of the theme language file, which has now been removed/overridden by the new language files.
We apologize for the inconvenience this situation has caused and would like to extend our sincerest apologies.
We have two possible solutions for you:
1. Please contact your hosting provider and request a backup of your site.
OR
2. Please provide us with the words and their translations so that we can make the necessary changes/translations for you.
Regarding the administration terms, they have been translated due to the Core plugin translation files. If you do not wish for them to remain, please let me know and I will delete those files.
And Finally again we apologize for any inconvenience caused in this case. Our intention was to help you and we regret that it did not turn out as expected. We hope you can understand.

Hello,
Of course I can’t be satisfied with what you did. I didn’t even give you the website url on this post…
You can not make changes on a client website without asking anything first, I’ve never seen this before.
Now so kind from you to give me solutions to solve something YOU did. Of course not, I can’t use a backup of this website because many changes have been done. So I will need to check old translation files and check all terms, this is the only solution.
About the Core plugin translation, of course you can remove it. This translation is a nightmare and my client can not use his WP backup like this.
Thanks!
Ok, so I checked your changes and this is not possible to remove the Core plugin translation files. Some terms as Shopping Cart and Wishlist are located inside it. They’re the terms I was looking for and I can’t find in the theme translation file. This is the only thing I needed and I asked for in my first post. So now I need to clean all your translations… thanks a lot!
I don’t understand how you can give translation files if it’s known that translations are so bad. Never saw something like this.
Hello LWK,
Thank you for your response.
I familiarized myself with the correspondence and it is indeed an unpleasant and completely non-standard situation. Our whole team is concerned and we will work on it to ensure that the situation does not repeat itself.
Once again, we apologize that our support member did changes to the translation on your site without an agreement, even though apologies do not help, we feel that we must apologize.
Now, let us discuss the solution to your question at the stage where we are now.
Texts you see when activating our theme come from two resources: the theme and the Core plugin. Here is one of the tutorial videos – https://youtu.be/WYBlzdJs5PU or https://youtu.be/Ogeqaa4SZV0
The lines https://imgur.com/bBx4BGU and https://imgur.com/6B7bANw come from the plugin, so to change them you need to work with Loco Translate > Plugins > XStore Core.
“I don’t understand how you can give translation files if it’s known that translations are so bad. Never saw something like this.” – pre-created language files have been contributed by our users that’s why the amount of translated strings might vary and translation is not perfect. We did not get complaints early about the quality, maybe because customers upload files by themselves and they know that the theme doesn’t come with official translations for all languages.
If you would like to share quality translations with our other users, please do so via – https://www.8theme.com/glotpress/projects/xstore/
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
If there is anything from our side that can help you, please let us know. Our support team will never touch your site without your solid agreement.
We value your business and want to ensure your satisfaction from now.
We hope for your understanding and that you will give us one more chance in the future to be helpful.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team
