Woocommerce order goes to pending payment instead of paid!

I am desperate. After a payment is one in the shop ( virtual product), the order stays on pending payment instead of paid!? So no mail to shopkeeper to notice a new order and no mail+invoice with download link to customer after pay. Had the shop working but after simple adjustments this happens over and over…

Please can you advise me where it goes wrong?
Both sites where made from the same basic backup by UpdraftPlus.

Hello,

We are able to provide support only for issues related strictly to our theme. That’s why you need to check if the problem is related to our theme only or to WooCommerce settings.

Install and activate official WooCommerce theme – Storefront. Then check if you have this problem. In case the problem persists with our theme only provide admin panel and FTP access. In case you have the same problem with official WooCommerce theme then check the WooCommerce settings or contact with WooCommerce support.
